The next morning. Clawdeen , Hallie and I were brushing our teeth. "Do you guys smell that?" Hallie asked sniffing the air. When she does that she reminds me if a dog I saw on T.V.
" I smell it too. It smell good!" Clawdeen replied. We cleaned off our toothbrushes and ran downstairs.
Nicki was cooking breakfast ,again." Good morning guys." Nicki said passing out plates of hot grits, bacon , eggs , and french toast. " How did you guys sleep?" "Good!" we all said. We were just starring at the plate of food as if we didn't eat for weeks!
" Why are you just standing there? You know you don't need to wait for me." Nicki said politely. We quickly sat down and ate our food. " Don't eat your grits right away. It's a little too hot." I wish Nicki said that a little sooner because Hallie dug right into her grits. "Ahhh," Hallie screamed " I burned my tongue! " She was going berserk! I gave her a bottle of water to calm her down.
" Can I have my phone back now?" Clawdeen asked. I thought Nicki would say " yeah sure" but she actually said "You'll have to ask you mom about that."
"What?" we all asked Nicki. "She isn't here." Clawdeen said. Nicki smiled pointed to the front door. Our mom was standing there. "Mom!" We yelled hugging her. "You missed me?" She asked. Yea we missed her. I almost called Nicki "mom"yesterday. That was imbarrasing.
Then Clawdeen quickly asked " Can I have my phone back ?" My mom told Clawdeen needs to get an A in chemistry class. "Aw man!" Clawdeen complained
Then my mom turned to Nicki and asked her. " Can I talk to you for a minute?" Hallie and I were wondering- what's going on?- Suprizingly Nicki was a little scared ,too. " Um...uh...okay" she said following my mom.
