Both Mia and I stood frozen before our unconscious little brother.

Could it be that Uncle William was tricking us all these years? That he was the one plotting the war against father?

But why?

Mum and dad forgave him years ago for his betrayal and for starting the first war, hell they even offered him to stay and help raise Caspian up with Aunt Amelia.

This didn't make any sense to me, why would he betray us again?

"Mia we need to hide Rolan" I said sensing someone's presence nearing our chamber's door.

"W-what?" Mia was confused for a second before hearing what I sensed and nodding "but how?" Mis whispered as whoever was coming was really close.

"Do you think the necklaces can still teleport us?" I asked Mia.

"We've haven't used them for ages" Mia answered hastily.

"It's worth the shot" I said before sitting beside Rolan and Mia in front of me.

"Mum and dad's garden" I told Mia and she nodded, we both closed our eyes and I demanded the necklace to take us there.

I felt the necklace glow familiarly, and a few seconds later when I opened my eyes Mia, Rolan and I were in the garden.

"What now?" I asked.

"We need to find a way to go home" Mia answered.

"Dad will kill me if we do" Rolan spoke, Mia and I looked at him and he was trying to sit up.

"Easy Rolan" I said helping him out, and for the first time in a long time I've actually got to see his eyes.

He was exhausted, and it was obvious that he was having a battle of a lifetime.

"Why didn't you tell us Rolan?" I asked slowly.

"I was never in control Andrea, he did it before we left home... Which is why dad killed mum, then I was back but I really couldn't explain what had happened or why I used to crave that much blood, but I was okay without it here" Rolan started explaining "but then a year ago he started controlling me again, talking in my head, appearing in my dreams, showing me the vision where dad had bit mum. He wanted to make me hate dad, and willingly start a war with him. But when I wouldn't he took control over my mind"

"He killed Rebecca" Mia said and Rolan nodded.

"This is the first time I manage to fight him out, he's still trying to reach for my mind" Rolan said pointing at his head.

"How long can you keep him out?" I asked and Rolan shook his head before answering.

"I don't know, he's trying all spells and I know for fact it won't be long until he's gotten his control back" Rolan answered fear lacing his voice.

"I-is Caspian helping him?" Mia asked.

"I don't know, but there is something that you need to know about him" Rolan answered and I looked at Mia before looking at Rolan again.

"Caspian has you under a spell"
