Adrian Drayn

I rolled my eyes at the phone ringtone that just made me jump and quickly answered it. "Alpha Drayn, there was a female rogue passed out on the borders, possibly dead. Beta Sage is taking it to the cellars," Theo, my second commander beta told me and I sighed. "Thank you, I'll check in on it in the morning," I replied while finishing up my letter. "No problem Alpha, good night."

"Goodnight, Theo," I hung up the phone and put my face in my hands then raked through my hair.

"Don't talk to me," I rolled my eyes at my stubborn wolf. "Why?" I asked Fenris, my wolf.
"You left her there, you just left her."

I rolled my eyes and started packing away the sheets of paper.

You know I can't accept her.

Caden Sage

She was white. Just like mom, her wolf was white I was the one to find her.

I could tell her wolf couldn't take no more and as she started to shift back and I started to take off my shirt. "What are you doing, man?" Theo asked but I ignored him. "she's unconscious or dead?" Theo asked and I winced at the last word. I just got her back, she can't be dead. I'm so confused, she had a pack and she looked happy with her mate, I believe he was the alpha's son so why did she come all this way?

More warriors gathered with their weapons as I scooped my baby sister up in my arms, "I got this taken care of! Fall back!" I ordered and they listened to their beta.

I started to make my way to the pack doctor when Theo stopped me, "Where are you going? The cells are this way..."
I

can't take her to the pack doctor but she's bleeding from her leg and is unconscious, what am I suppose to do? I can't let anyone know she's my sister, yet, at least Adrian has to know first...

Avyanna Sage

I woke up on the floor, a blanket below me, and the rest of it as a cover over my body. Unaware of my surroundings, I flung the thin blanket off me to reveal I'm in a white shirt and my leg is bandaged up with no trace of blood.

That's weird.

I stand up and go to the door which has a little square hole. I tried to push my head through but all I could see is darkness.

Make sure they know you're the beta's sister.

Carlos and I's conversation ran through my mind but I sat down back with a huff.

Adrian Drayn

"What do you mean you're going to reject her? You can't do that."

"I'll hurt her, Caden, she's better off without me, I'll just send her back off to her pac-"

"No! You will not send her back and you will not reject her!" My top beta shouted at me. I was a bit taken back form his tone. Best friend or not. "And why not Mr. Sage?"

"Because...because she was tortured there..." he meekly replied as if it was a lie but it wasn't, she had scars and burns from silver, so the doctor told me.
I sighed," she can't stay here..." I say softly, getting angrier by the minute.

"I don't get why you want to protect her so much, since when you had pity in a rogue?" I accused Caden and his eyes held pure fire. He stands up, walks over to my desk, and pounds his fists into it. "That's it! You will not do anything to cause pain to my sister do you hear me? She will stay here and that is final. If you don't want her in your house then she could stay with Aurora and me." To say I was surprised, would be an understatement.

His sister?

I knew he got separated from his sister in the rescue but I never really thought about her. This Changes Everything. "Get her out of there, take her to my room. Give her a shower and send Aurora to get her some clothes," I say and his fowl turns into a big smile, one that I haven't seen in a while.

He leaves and I'm left in my thoughts. This made so much sense now. Why he came over to make sure I didn't hurt that Carlos dude, why he was so careful with her when she arrived, why he made sure I visited her first thing this morning. Now I get why he was unhappy to find out she was supposed to be my mate.

Ayanna Sage

"Don't you dare try to hug me," I spit, "Do you know how hard it was to sit opposite you for an hour after five years? You walked off and left without one single word!" I screamed at my so-called brother. I was furious at him. "I know, I know I'm sorry," Caden apologized. Guilt and sorrow flashed through his eyes. I walked up to him and my hand made contact with his cheek. His head whipped to the side," I deserved that but can we please go?" Caden recovered and pulled my hand before he began to walk out of the cell. "Where are we going?" I questioned.

"You'll see," Caden brushed me off, causing me to roll my eyes.

"So how did you become a beta? You hated training," I remembered.
"Well, I'm twenty-three, not eighteen. Adrian saved me from the fire, a couple of people actually," Caden admitted, bringing hope to my eyes. "Our pack is here? Are mom and da-"

"No, they're not. Drop it. I'm not a beta by family but by choice, thanks for Adrian," I scoffed at the mention of his name.

Soon we pulled up to a big marble door made up of different shades of black marble and the handles were golden.
"Welcome to your new room," Caden smiled before opening the door.

"I think."
