"I'll make Carlos kill all of you if you don't let me in!" I shouted to the guards but they still won't let me in.

Somehow I managed to escape his house after eavesdropping on Adrian's plan. I tied my clothes to my foot and took off running. Tris was actually so happy she got her run which made me happy. A half-mile before I entered my old territory, I shifted back and changed into my clothes. Now I'm standing by the border with three guards up in my face calling me a stupid rogue.

"That's enough guys," a familiar voice says and Carlos emerges from the tree. "Carlos!" I ran into his open arms and he wrapped them around my small frame, lifting me off the ground in the process. "How are you? Its been so long! I haven't heard any announcements of Adrian finding-" I covered his hands with my mouth and he puts me down on my feet.

"We need to go somewhere private, we have a lot to discuss in a little bit of time..." Carlos must have sensed that it was important because within a couple of minutes we were sitting inside of his office in his new house. Tomorrow he becomes an Alpha on his eighteenth birthday. Carlos already had his new house and the old Alpha's house was now just his parents' house.

It was beautiful.

Smaller than Adrian's but not by a lot. Just imagine the surprise on my face to see that I've been living in the most gorgeous house I've ever seen in my life for two weeks. I didn't get to stop and admire it because I had to be quick in escaping.

"So, what's going on? What brought you back? Why haven't I heard anything about a new Luna?" Carlos stormed me with questions.

"Adrian and I are...fine. There are problems but nothing to stress about. However, I may have slipped that I was tortured and he assumed it was you because at the dinner...you know," I trailed off. I watched as Carlos remained quiet and I didn't say anything so he could process things.

"So why didn't you tell him? About my dad?"

"I don't know him very well, he has been distant with me since I got there and I barely even see him, he'll even talk to him. I have issues trusting someone who wants nothing to do with me," my voice was soft and my eyes were glued to my hands on my lap.

"So you rather I get killed by your mate?"

"No, Goddess, that's why I'm here. I'll tell him everything...I didn't get a chance to because you know how stubborn I can be."

"Yeah um, let's change the topic. How have you been?"

"I've been healthy and all my wounds managed to heal fully. I've been using care products to remove some of the scars and stuff...it's working," I smiled happily.

"Avyanna, I'm so sorry I didn't get you out of this place sooner," Carlos sighed. "That man is not my father, I hate him to the core, this pack is going to change when I'm Alpha," I agreed with Carlos.

Before I could reply, my body was launched back, my head hitting the floor with a loud thud. I could already feel the blood.

"Soriah!" I heard Carlos screamed as I tried to get on my foot. A tall girl, taller than me by a few centimeters came in front of me and blocked my vision. Her hand gripped my throat and squeezed it.

My claws grew out and I swiped her hand, making her release me. "Bitch," I scowled.

"don't 'soriah!' Me, who the hell is she and why is her scent all over you?" She shouted at Carlos. Soriah stepped in front of me, barely any space she showed me her yellow eyes. I show her my sapphire blue eyes, "Back the hell away from me," I slowly said, power laced in my voice.

She stumbles back away and her eyes turned back to crystal blue. "Alpha blood?" Soriah questions in disbelief.

"Yes and she is Alpha Adrian's mate," Carlos said once he was holding her to his chest. They're mates. I already knew it.

"Avyanna, you're not the only one that found your mate over the past two weeks. This is the Future Luna of the Dark Moon pack. Babe, this is one of my friends. We reunited today and we hugged," Carlos explained the last part to his mate. I couldn't help the smile from forming on my face.

"I'm so sorry, Luna, I really wasn't thinking," Soriah pleaded.

"It's okay, I understand," I showed her a comforting smile and relief washed over her face. A knock on the door stops anyone from speaking after. "Enter," Carlos ordered.

"Beta Stephan, what's the problem?"

"Alpha Drayn is requesting to see you," my face got dulled when I heard his name.

he's here and we didn't even get a plan ready.

"Send him in."
