Edited.
I was so bored. I just wanted to be with Adrian and it made me super mad. He's at home because it's Sunday. Weekends are when he works at home. And now it's only the both of us at home, all alone, a few rooms apart. This morning I woke up with a red surprise if you know what I mean and my belly has been paining all morning and I've been wanting to just go to his office.
But he has to be busy, I mean he's the alpha so he must be busy.My belly hurts.
That's it.
I throw the blanket off me and stand up, walking out of the room without another thought. I go downstairs and opened the big black marble doors.
His head snapped in my direction. The pen dropped out of his grip. "Avyanna," Adrian breathlessly say, eyes scanned my body. I feel so comfortable around his scent, I missed how strong it was when he was around me. "Are you okay? Are you hurt?" He worriedly questioned.
"Yes," I honestly state with a frown. He quickly stood up and walked so he could be at my side. "What's wrong? Who hurt you? Where does it hurt?" His eyes scanned my body for any injuries.
I'm so gonna regret this.
I turn to him and wrap my arms around his waist and put my head on his chest. His body stiffens but soon relaxes and he hugs me back. "What's wrong, baby?" Adrain whispered soothingly as his hand smoothens my hair. "My tummy hurts," my voice muffle against his chest.
"Food poisoning? Someone punched-"
"No, Adrian, it's nothing that serious," I honestly say, trying to avoid laughing. "Come help me finish some work and then we'll go to bed?" I nod and he lets me go.
I almost winced, the feeling, the tingles, the atmosphere, I just love it when he's here and miss it when he isn't. Adrian sat on the chair and pat his lap for me to sit and I do. My arms were around his neck to keep me up, head resting on his chest and my legs dangle against his. "Put your hand here," I pull the hand that was under me, over to my stomach and I had to refrain myself from moaning.
The paining and tugging in my stomach stopped seconds after his palm touches my stomach. Now, I didn't want him to ever leave me.
"Adrian, Why haven't you announced me to the pack? I don't want to meet with all those people as yet but...are you planning on rejecting me?" I weakly questioned. I had no idea why I was even asking all this. He doesn't reply for a few seconds.
"Because I want you to be ready...Once they see you with me they will know you're my mate," Adrian pulled me into his chest more," They will want their Luna. I will never reject you but I just have to keep some distance with you..." Adrain says the last part more to himself. It made my heart tug. I lift off his chest with my confused emotions. "Why? Am I that bad?" My lips pouted. "You're perfect but I don't want to hurt you, I can't control the things I do most of the time."
"Well...I'll help."
"You can't."
Somehow I left the room. I left so quickly because I was so angry. Yet, I'm supposed to respect his decision because I was living under his roof and his commands. This changes everything. label me stupid, I'm not going to let a stupid mate bond control me. I need to get away from him. Unfortunately, I couldn't leave or go anywhere. I forgot what it felt like to be part of a pack.
I just want to know what was Adrian's problem. Why is he always so tough? Why doesn't he give himself free time? Why he's so closed off? Why he doesn't want to get close to me?
I stop in my tracks and stomped my way back into his office. "I'm going, to be honest, I'm fucking angry. I want to meet the pack...maybe not as their Luna but as a normal pack member. For five years I was kept away from everyone and it makes no sense if that was going to be repeated here."
"So what as Caden's sister?" Amusement danced in his eyes. "Yes, good idea," I agreed. It was perfect. I could be announced as Caden's sister who they found at the other pack.
"It would be suspicious that you're his sister and you're living here," Adrian objected. "I don't need to live here, I could live in a packhouse with my brother.""No." He says firmly, using his alpha tone but being his mate, it doesn't affect me. "Why not?" I asked defensively. Adrian sighed, "I need you here.
The packhouse is flooded with unmated males." So he wants to be protective over me but doesn't want me to be close to him? This only angered me more.
"I don't fucking care, Alpha Adrain. I could easily leave this hell house and find myself another pack to live freely in," I almost shouted. "You'll be a rogue," Adrian pointed out. "No, my pack burnt down and I was the alpha's daughter and I was training to become a warrior at thirteen," It was now my turn to smirk. "You're staying here, Avyanna. That's final.""Damn you, Adrian! Then let me go out and train,
I wanna go on runs and take a morning stroll maybe talk to a few people or something, five years of my life I was kept in a cell and tortured with fucking silver! Let me be free!""What?" I turned around to see Caden. He wore a horrid and furious face. Even his fists were clenched at his sides.
I can't believe I just said that. Why did I sound like I was proud of what happened to me? Never."By whom?" I could tell Adrian was trying to contain his anger.
"Nobody, drop it, I'm going to bed," I brushed him off and was about to leave when Adrain roared," Avyanna!"
I saw Caden winced at the voice he used before turning around."Was it your boyfriend from that night?" Caden asked but I still don't reply. I walked out of the room and my body cools down. No doubt that I had my wolf eyes out. My claws were just itching me to attack.
Adrian DraynIt was him. I knew it was. That stupid Alpha's son is going to pay. I knew she had bruises but I assumed it was during training or something. I didn't think she was being abused. Fuck, I should have asked her about it sooner.
"Adrian?" I look up to see Caden was on the other end of the table. "I'll give you your house, it's about time you and Fauna move out of that pack house. I'll have my best men start building more houses around the packhouse." I take a breather, "Call the warriors for a meeting in here now," I say but he still doesn't move.
"You aren't going to talk about it?" Caden questioned. I couldn't stop thinking about it. "That was an order," I say using my alpha voice and within seconds he was out the room.
"You're overreacting, you know," Fenris says as he stirred in my head. "What now?" I deadpanned. "You could let her in, she's been tortured and you're only making it worse for her."
"Shut up." I block out Fenris because I need to schedule a meeting to meet that Alpha and his son tomorrow.
