As soon as you walked in Maqui and Yuj dragged you over to one of those rides that spin around super fast. Honestly, you didn’t really like these kinds of rides, being that they tend to make you sick. As it loomed over head you started getting more and more nervous.
“Uh…guys? Do we have to go on this ride?” You asked, letting your fears get the better of you, though if it kept your food from coming back up you were fine with letting your fears get the better of you.
“Oh, c’mon [Name], it’s not that bad I promise!” Maqui reassured you. He was trying to make you feel better, which is something you weren’t very used to getting. Back home, if you didn’t want to go on a ride one of your friends would stay back with you since they weren’t a fan of the ride. Here, however, that didn’t seem like it was going to be happening, especially if you were here with two teen boys.
“Really, I’ll be fine; I’ll just go get something to eat while you guys go on.” You said trying your luck at getting out of this scenario.
“If you don’t come willingly we’ll have no choice but to drag you with us.” Axel said, seeming to pop out of nowhere.
“God Axel, scare the crap outta me why don’t you?” You mumbled.
Axel laughed, “Sorry babe.” He said with a shrug. Oddly enough you didn’t really find his apology sincere. By now the four of you were at the line leading to the ride. As the small group of you got closer to the front of the line, you anxiousness got even worse. The time you had waiting in the line had only given you more time to think of things that could possibly go wrong on this ride.

Maqui
“Ticket’s please.” Maqui and yourself handed over your tickets, and once you got them back headed into your seats. The nerves had now doubled, and it literally felt like thousands upon thousands of butterflies were swarming in your stomach.
“[Name], are you okay? You look like you’re gonna be sick.” Maqui asked. You shook your head. No you were not in fact okay. You felt like you were going to hurl, and the ride hadn’t even started yet. You weren’t really big on facing your fears, facing you fears meant facing your fears, which you most definitely did not feel comfortable doing. They were called fears for a reason after all.
“Please fasten your seatbelts.” A voice said over the intercom.
“I’m going to die.” You said, and to be quite honest you were seriously convinced you were going to die. Fair rides were not like Disney rides. Disney you were pretty much guaranteed to not die fairs on the other hand it would not be surprising at all. Disney is the most magical place on Earth, there was no possible way you could die on one of those rides, and this was most definitely not Disney.
“You aren’t going to die [Name]. Would it make you feel better if you held my hand through the ride?” Maqui asked. You nodded vigorously. You had to admit Maqui was one of the nicest guys you had ever met. Back on your planet, or world, or whatever a guy never once asked if you would like to hold his hand if it would make you feel better. The two of you entwined your fingers and the ride started. Around and around it went, once it started you felt even queasier, proceeding to hold Maqui’s hand even tighter. A small voice in the back of your mind felt kind of sorry for crushing his hand, but the rest of you was too busy freaking out to bother letting go.
‘Hey this really isn’t so bad.’ You thought to yourself, and it really wasn’t. You realized that there really wasn’t anything to worry about. You weren’t going to fly off the ride in some horrid accident because of a loose screw. “I’m not going to die!” You screamed.
