Chapter 3

The Alarm Clock woke Kankri up. Who set the alarm? OhhhhSHIT

cue the morning routine montage music

Kankri got ready in his suit and tie before realizing-

"CRONUS WAKE UP!!!!"

Cronus groaned. "NoooOOOOOOOOOOOO-"

Kankri came in and sat on his bed. "Baby, Today's the Day that we throw your dad in jail. You need to get up. Please? For me?"

Cronus sighed and sat up. "Fine, fine."

Kankri brushed a thumb over Cronus' almost healed bruise. "You're brave."

Cronus stood up and started getting dressed. "I wish."

"You're the bravest man I've ever known. God, Cronus. You've faced all your demons in the last month. You've gotten a Job, you've kept our relationship going. You're so strong. Everything you've been through...."

Cronus turned and sat his forehead against the crook of Kankri's neck. "I couldn't have done it without you.." Kankri smiled, pecking him on the lips.

"Now, lets go defeat the final demon. Lets put that bastard in his place."

Cronus grinned and nodded. "Hell yeah."

They walked downstairs where Signless and Psiioniic were waiting. "I BOUGHT DONUTS!!!!" The Psiiconic sung. How did this middle aged man have so much energy at 7:39am?

Kankri sighed. "Uncle, it's too early for this." Psiioniic paid no mind.

"TO THE MINIVAN!!!"

Cronus laughed softly, nervously almost. He messed with his tie as they all got into the minivan.

Kankri leaned over and straightened his tie. "It'll be fine..."

Cronus nodded and sniffled softly, wiping his eyes.

"Don't cry. Don't let your demons win."

"Cronus gulped down the lump in his throat. "...S-sorry.."

Kankri climbed into his lap. This wasn't legal but what ever. "Don't apologize."

"Sorry.. Fuck- Sorry- FUCK-"

Kankri chuckled and kissed his Nose. Cronus sighed softly and shook his head. "...Thank you... For being there..."

Kankri smiled and grabbed his hand. "I couldn't let you suffer." Psiioniic then floored the gas, sending Kankri flying into the seat in front of him.

Signless screeched. "PSIIONIIC-" Cronus wrapped his arms around Kankri's hips.

Kanrki snuggled his neck. "My uncle is reckless..." Psiioniic smiled and ran at least seven lights.

Cronus growled lowly. Signless snarled. "MITUNA, STOP IT."

Kankri started laughing as the Psiiconic u-turned illegally because he missed the court house.

Signless glared. "When we get there, I'm breaking up with you. I wish you would FUCKING listen to me for once."

Psiioniic slammed on the brakes. "What?" He asked, starting to tear up. Signless looked out the window, messing with his sleeve.

The Brady Bunch had made it to the courthouse, so Kankri climbed out of the Minivan. "My Lord-" He dramatically reached for Cronus' hand.

Psiioniic put the car in park. "I...I was joking..."

Cronus takes it and follows him. "Where tha hell is Eridan?"

"Yes, well your joking almost got us killed multiple times."

On cue, Eridan coame walking out with Sollux in tow. "Cro!" He said softly. Kankri let go of him to let them hug.

And hug they did. Cronus practically swooped forward and pulled Eridan into a hug.

Signless huffed and got out of the car.

Psiioniic bit his lip. "I'm sorry... I'll be more careful."

Psiioniic locked himself in the mini van and turned up the angst green day music. Kankri smiled and nodded to Sollux.

"You're safe. I though he'd culled ya for sure-" Eridan muttered.

"Yeah..." Cronus' voice wavered. "We're ending this once and for all..."
