"HICCUP! GET ME DOWN FROM HERE!", I scream as I clutched onto the tree branch for dear life.

The anger that built within my veins was clearly expressed on my face as the whimpy fear in his gaze communicated that he was terrified of me.

I didn't care what the helhiem he wanted to show me.

This is outrageous and treason against the tribe and his father.

And if my parents were to discover me with this boy and his dragon, oh the shame they would feel. I was destined to be the best of the Hoffersons yet and I won't let this Haddock boy take that chance away from me.

Without any sort of will, I climbed on the back of that night fury.

I demanded to be put down so I can go off and tell the village what a fraud and disgrace he remained.

I was flailing backwards almost falling off before I got over myself a little and decided to hang on to his tiny figure to stabilize myself.

"Haha he's not normally like this.... oh no....", Hiccup says as the dragon did many dips and spins.

"We need her to like us!", he scolded his scaly companion.

"Thank you for nothing, you useless reptile", he shouts again.

I was barely paying attention to the Haddock's attempt at trying to persuade me. I was concentrated on not falling to my entrance to Valhalla.

I swear to Thor, my life flashed before my eyes.

For the first time this entire day, fear finally overcame the inner rage I felt in the pit of my stomach.

I buried my face in the scratchy tunic on Hiccup's back.

I couldn't believe my mood change as I shouted out, "Okay! I'm sorry! I'm sorry, just get me off of this thing"

I screamed as the dragon lifted its wings to stop its near death descent.

Suddenly, all became still as the sky painted with orange clouds and a gleaming, setting sun overwhelmed my senses. The water below me looked as if it were a beautiful, large piece of glass that had been molded with ripples. The radiating sunset bounced off of the choppy water and I couldn't help but admire the sights below.

Something shifted within my being that allowed me to appreciate the perspective I was getting of my home island.

My grip loosened from a place of being petrified to any arms waving in the air trying to touch the clouds.

The thing that a kid dreams of when they're laying on the grass, imagining what it would be like to fly.

The sun fell below the sea as the stars glistened from their place on the navy blue canvas of the night.

The moon was large and the faint lights of Berk set the mood for such a flight as ours.

The romantic atmosphere took ahold of me, and I couldn't help but wrap my arms around Hiccup's waist and rest my chin on his shoulder.

This was my instinctive move to almost thank him for showing me, even though I previously refused.

Everything that had been pent up within my soul has been shattered.
