Looking at his eyes, he didn't seem to mind the fact that I won't be a part of his production team anymore. Though I must say, he's still feeling down.
I approached him soon after the show ended.
"Anderson, you up for some stuff?"
"Yeah, why not?"
We went back immediately to the flat and talked about my exit from the company.
"Why did you decide to leave, anyway?" he asked me.
"Because if I do want to anchor my own program, I need to gain experience first. I'm excited, though, because I get to explore and discover more about myself and the profession I'm in."
"You don't want me to mentor you, or ask a friend of mine to do it for you?"
"No, why would I? Besides, it's always fun to discover everything myself."
"How do you feel leaving me behind though?"
"You're successful, duh. We'll still be by each other's side, but I'll be less home if I do get work. Or maybe I'll just stay home for now. Someday, I'll find my way home. This is already my second home, yet I feel out of place. I'll just need some time off and think about things. I just hope you understand."
