The rumor from yesterday still bugged me while at work. Although I tried to shrug off the rumor from Anderson, I was still thinking of whether to actually leave the network or not. It was actually spreading like wildfire, and I have to keep it a secret, especially from him. If he does become aware of this, I think he's going to follow suit.
I talked with some of my friends during that night. I tried to stay away from Anderson since he's pretty much busy for the whole week.
"Hello, Ainsley!" Bri greeted. Bri, or Brianna O'Neill, is a production assistant on Don Lemon's show. I became friends with her during the 2016 presidential debates.
"Hey."
"What's wrong?" she asks. "You've been feeling down lately."
"I...I'm actually thinking of leaving CNN," I told them. "I haven't told Anderson yet, because I feel like he's immediately gonna follow me."
"Are you sure about that?" Diana asks me. Diana Arben, a producer in AC360°, the same show I'm working on.
"I'm not sure. I could've informed him ahead of time, but I'm scared he's gonna follow suit."
