HAYES' POV:

After about a week of living with my brother and being shown the highs and lows of the city by Claire, I was able to finally start hunting for my own apartment.

I got up early that morning and put on a plain white t-shirt, a black letterman jacket, dark skinny jeans, and my pair of black vans.

I ate breakfast with Cam, because Nash was still asleep.

"You're going apartment hunting today, right?" Cam asked, biting his lower lip.

"Yeah. You guys won't have to put up with me for much longer, don't worry." I said, trying not to sound curt. Cam nodded at me and took a huge bite of his stack of waffles.

I finished mine and wiped the crumbs and syrup off my mouth with the back of my hand. Cam's brow furrowed and I understood what he was getting at. I washed my plate and hands in the sink.

I gave him a side smirk as I rolled up my sleeves and headed out the door.

Shutting the glass door behind me I started down the stone steps that led up to the apartment.

I made it to the sidewalk soon after and began walking to the place I had checked out online the day before.

After walking a while I arrived at the apartment building. Breathing in the fresh California air, I entered through the large automatic doors.

The lobby had white marble floors, velvet couches in the waiting area, and a hard wood front desk.

There were doors leading off into other areas like the gym, pool, locker rooms, lounge, and arcade.

I took a long look, letting its beauty sink in.

This is definitely the place for me.
