BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP

"UGH!"

I sounded like I was part of those high school movies, but I assure you, that that was just my life. I got up at 6:50, so that I could take an hour to do my morning routine, then spend 10 minutes getting to work.

I was just about to walk out the door when I remembered something: It is expected in society and dentistry that you should brush your teeth every morning. Oops. I am not one of those smart people that brush their pearly whites in the shower, so I just grabbed some Extra and chewed as I walked to work.

I was on checkout today. I went about my hours, fake smiling at customers and dealing out change. About ten minutes before I finished, a familiar voice said "Hey, Tori!" I grinned and looked up. "Hi, Paulie! What are you doing here?"

He dumped a heap of clothes on the counter. "Just grabbing some cheap bits and pieces for rehearsals and stuff." he said as I began scanning various tank tops and shorts. "I'm hanging with the other boys at my place today, wanna come? I've also gotta get food while I'm here." Paulie went on, and I agreed to head with him after he had done his shopping and I had finished my shift.

"Alright, I'm off to Woolies for some food, I'll come pick you up after, kay?" Paulie waved and I watched him walk off into Woolworths across the shopping centre. "Next, please," I called and the next customer came over.

Four customers later, I heard a scream from Woolworths, which was across the shopping centre, may I remind you. "YEEEEEEESSSSSSS! THE CRISPY M&M'S ARE ON SPECIALLLLLLLLLLL!!!" I laughed, recognizing the voice as, you guessed it, Paulie's.

Soon enough, Paulie was stopping the car in front of the coolest house I'd ever seen, at the end of Manchester Drive. Manchester, that rang a bell. Something I'd heard recently. Of course! My hangout with Len!

"SHIT!" I yelled and Paulie looked at me with concern. "I was supposed to hangout with Len in, like, forty-five minutes!"

"That would explain Len's polite decline to my gathering," Paulie said. "If it's not, like, a date or anything, we can just call him over here?" he suggested and I agreed, pulling out my phone.

Me: Hey, sorry for the bail but Paulie saw me @ work and I'm @ his place now. Meet us all here for a hangout?

Lenny Pearce: Sure. B there as soon as

"He's in." I said and Paulie and I headed inside with a few shopping bags (including several packets of crispy m&m's). Of course, the other boys questioned Paulie's lateness and my presence. Paulie questioned the others' presence in his house.

Lukas shrugged. "Back door was open." Paulie cursed the "stipid, faulty back door" for about five minutes before peace was restored to the house, and Len arrived.

Len's POV:

I frowned as I walked up Paulie's front path. Why couldn't I just get her alone? I want to see how she acts around me when there's nobody else there.

My grumpiness only lasted a few more seconds and soon I was laughing and joking with the rest of them out in the backyard

Tori was collecting phone numbers and addresses from all the other boys while John and I sat back. "Sorry about your spoiled date," John said. "It was not a date, it was a hangout." I retaliated. "But you're still disappointed?"

"I guess,"

"I knew you were into her."

Why was John always right?

Tori's POV:

Whilst all the other guys went inside to play Xbox or something, I caught Len alone. "Sorry about the bail." I said. "It's fine," he replied. "I just wanted to hang alone, just us, you know?" I agreed and we headed inside behind the others.

2 hours had passed. 2 hours of Xbox playing. I was bored. John was bored. Lukas was bored. Solo was bored. Paulie was bored. Len was bo- yeah, you get the picture. But I shall continue -red. Samson was bored.

I stared around Paulie's living room. I spotted a classic game in a bookshelf.  "Twister!" I all but screamed. I pointed and giggled like a little kid. The boys caught on and Solo reached up to get the game on the top shelf.

I was the first out. Damn those boys were flexible!! And awesome dancers. And awesome friends. And aweso- My thoughts were cut off by a thump. John sat on the mat , rubbing his ass. The others laughed while he came to sit next to me, still rubbing his rump.

"My ass hurts." he announced. "I can tell." I replied. That was our only conversation for a while. Then, a few minutes later, John blurted: "Len's into you." I smiled.

"Ha! The feeling is mutual, isn't it!" John cried. I smiled again

Why was John always right?

Playschool had begun to play on the still-on TV and the hosts were discussing "what makes you different?".

"What makes you different to everyone else here, Paulie?" I asked, imitating the host. The Twister game ended as abruptly as it had started as the boys untangled themselves and we sat on the floor.

"Er… I'm different because I'm the one with  the most letters in my name?" Paulie said. "Don't be so sure," I replied. "What do you mean? Paulo Erico Pedro Mendoza Torres Merciadez: that's obviously the longest of the people here." he said. "Not when there's a chic here with the name Victoria Louise Sasha Veronica Johnson-Young," I said back. "P-A-U-L-O-E-R-I-C-O-P-E-D-R-O-M-E-N-D-O-Z-A-T-O-R-R-E-S-M-E-R-C-I-A-D-E-Z: 37 letters" he reasoned.

"V-I-C-T-O-R-I-A-L-O-U-I-S-E-S-A-S-H-A-V-E-R-O-N-I-C-A-J-O-H-N-S-O-N-Y-O-U-N-G: 39 letters, bitches!"

When I got back home at 3 o'clock , Tylah was still gone. I remembered what she said back on Thursday:  "Got the whole house to yourself until Monday. I'm spending a few days with Jonathan"

I decided to text her.

Me: when r u home?

Tylah Frinden: Oh, 4got 2 tell u. im moving in w/johnathon. im picking up my stuff 2moz morn.

Well, that was unexpected. I thought. I texted Len.

Me: Roomie's moving out tomorrow. We can hang out that arvo to make up for my bail.

Lenny Pearce: Sure. Look forward 2 it. 2pm?

Me: Done.
