"Len! Where are we going!"
I tripped over a small stone and yelped as Len's hands over my eyes quivered with his laughter.
"I told you baby, it's a surprise!" he replied for about the fifth time "...step up here" he added. I lost my footing as I stepped up... into thin air. Len chuckled. I whined at him again and he gently steered me to the right. I stumbled as my feet no longer were on concrete path, but on grass.
"It's okay, Tori" Len soothed me and took me further onto the grass.
Len stopped, I stopped too. I felt his hands move from my eyes. "Don't open them yet, baby..." Len warned and I kept my eyes squeezed shut. His hands made their way away from my face and down to my waist, where he held me tight, almost tighter than seemed necessary.
But before I could question the strength of his grip, Len lifted me up onto an elevated surface: from what I could tell, wooden. I felt the ground vibrate as he jumped up next to me, and covered my eyes again.
I could hear water now, swishing around us. I could smell a salty spray and feel a coastal wind. In the distance, I could hear masculine voices calling to one another.
Slowly but surely, the voices got closer, and they almost sounded familiar for a moment, but they began shushing each other when I got close.
"I would keep your eyes covered for the next part to keep the surprise intact, but if I do that, we might find ourselves having to fish you out of the water, and I'm not sure if I could be bothered to." I could hear the grin in Len's voice as he slowly unwrapped his big, soft hands from my face.
"You can look now, Tori."
I opened my eyes.
I almost fainted.
Floating majestically in front of me was a magnificent yacht, and on board, all of the JC boys stood grinning at me. I turned around to Len.
"Baby, what's this?" I asked.
"Tori, we are going on a family holiday!" He annouced happily.
For months now the boys and I had been refferring to one another as family, and we even sometimes joked that we were all long-lost siblings ("Please, don't say that," Len would say, "It's disturbing... I'm dating Tori!")
I smiled to myself and looked up at the giant boat. "In that?" I said doubtfully.
Lukas grinned. "My uncle's a plastic surgeon for celebrities... and I'm his favourite nephew. He agreed to let me borrow his yacht for a couple of weeks. Welcome to The Ocean Jewel!"
I gasped. No. Way.
Two weeks?
On board a multi-million dollar yacht?
With my five best friends, plus my beautiful boyfriend?
Bring it on baby!
