The doorbell rang.
"You guys can go hang in the back room. Just watch TV for a little and I'll bring them in together, okay? I want it to be a nice surprise." I pointed down the hall in the direction of the room and headed to the front door.
"Haaaaaaay gurl haaay!" Emma greeted me. I chuckled and invited her inside before sinking into the couch and flicking through the channels on TV. Emma plopped down next to me.
"Um, didn't you mention guests? I wore my new top in case it was one of my exes…" I laughed. In high school Emma had gone out with almost every guy in the year level, plus the level above and below. She had so many exes, they could start a club! Some called her a slut, but she prefferred "picky by trial and error".
"No, you've never met them. But I'm waiting for Amber to come first. I want to introduce you guys together." I explained and Emma nodded, turning her head back to the TV.
After a few minutes we heard a knock on the door. Amber didn't believe in doorbells. She said that knocking worked just as well and constantly felt the need to prove it. You've go to to admit, she had a point…
After inviting Amber inside we beaded down the hall to where my "guests" were. I opened the door and the boys all turned to me in response. Samson clicked off the telly. Wait for it…
"EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OHMYGOD OHMYGOD OH.MY.FUCKING.GOD. Tori why the FUCK are JUSTICE CREW sitting in your back lounge?" Emma screamed and the boys chuckled. I looked over at Amber and her expression was priceless. Her mouth had just dropped open and she was staring speechlessly at the six guys in front of her.
"Oh. My. God." I heard her mutter under her breath. All I could think about was how grateful I was that I'd convinced the boys to give me their phones so that I could set them up around the room to film the girls' completely different reactions.
The boys and I began laughing and they lined up in front of Amber and Emma. They individually intriduced themselves and eventually Amber managed to utter a tiny "Hi." I was really surprised. Amber was never this quiet.
After intros we decided to go sit outside in the sun.
"20 questions?" John suggested after we had been sitting outside in complete awkward silence for about a minute.
"Make it 5 and I'm in. Gotta be home in half an hour for Joseph and judging by the amount of people here it'll take about two hours if we all have 20 questions." Amber explained, checking the time on her phone. She had definately gotten more confident with the boys in the last two minutes.
"Done." John grinned at her and I smiled to myself when Amber almost melted.
John decided to ask Amber a question first.
"Okay. Who's Joseph?" I sensed a hint of jealousy in his voice and smiled. Awww!
"Joseph is my little brother. My parents are traveling so I'm looking after him and have to be there when he comes home from school." Amber explained and I saw the relief on John's face.
