The Man with no face

Chapter 1

Sarah rolls over huffing at the sound of her Iphone alarm going off, It is 5am on a Monday morning and Sarah has to get up to help her daughter of 5 years old ready for school.

"Ugghhh turn it off will you" 

Sarah shrugged off the sound of her Boyfriend's voice and reached out to press the off button.

"Finally, there is nothing worse than that sound in the morning don't you think?" Asked Oliver.

Oliver is a big build, tattooed, dark haired man, he was the kind of man any girl could dream about waking up next to, but Sarah and Oliver had been having some relationship problems and wasn't getting on great and Sarah often found herself wondering why she was still with him.

"Hmmmm" Replied Sarah, instantly regretting her tone, hoping that Oliver didn't pick up on it.

"OH MY GOD" shouted Oliver while sitting up very abruptly

Oh here we go thought Sarah, she quickly mentally prepared herself for a 5am argument.

"Sarah you need to see this!" Oliver sounded quite panicked and when Sarah turned her head Oliver had already pointed the phone's screen towards her.

BREAKING NEWS, MALE AND FEMALE FOUND DEAD IN THEIR HOME AFTER WHAT SEEMS TO LOOK LIKE A HOME INVASION, NEIGHBOURS SAID THEY HEARD SCREAMS EARLY HOURS THIS MORNING BUT OFTEN HEARD LOUISE AND STEPHEN ARGUING THROUGHOUT THE NIGHT AND DIDNT THINK MUCH DIFFERENT ABOUT THIS TIME. LOUISE AND STEPHEN HAD 2 CHILDREN PRESENT IN THE HOME WHO ARE CURRENTLY BEING SUPPORTED AND WILL BE QUESTIONED WHEN THEY ARE READY, LET'S HOPE THEY FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENED SOON.

Sarah stared at the screen open mouthed, In complete shock she slowly lay back down and took a big deep breath in.

"Sarah, Sarah are you ok? I thought you would of looked more shocked than that Louise was meant to be your best friend" 

Sarah looked at her boyfriend and instantly felt the bubbles of anger building up inside of her.

"How dare you! Louise was my best friend, Im shocked I didn't expect to read something like that this early in the morning, who would do such a thing?"

Sarah felt the lump in her throat and tried to hold back the tears, her hands were shaking so violently that the neighbours could probably feel it.

Oliver lay down beside her and scooped her into his arms, he rocked her slowly back and forth and kissed her cheek

"It's ok baby, im here let it all out"

It wasn't very often that Oliver would be loving towards Sarah so she turned around and embraced his arms wrapped tightly around her, she buried her head into his neck and sobbed so loud that Oliver had to push on her head harder to try and drown out the sounds so she didn't wake Melody.

Sarah opened her eyes and realised that her and Oliver had both fallen back to sleep, she leaned over to pick up her mobile and shot up out of bed when she saw that It was 08.30am.

"Oliver wake up, wake up" Sarah said frantically while violently shaking Olivers dead weight body.

"Oliver you need to wake up, we are going to be late, go and get Melody out of bed and start getting her ready I'll be down in 10 minutes"

Oliver sat up and pulled his legs from under the covers, He put on some boxer shorts and went in to wake Melody up for the big rush school run.
