Baths were always so calming to Tori Vega, she would get to be alone with her thoughts in a nice tranquil area to escape the constant stress of her day-to-day life. Ever since she was young she would beg to take them, despite her older sister not liking showering as a child. It was a beacon of relaxation in a day of chaos, even as a kid who didn't know what that word meant. That child is now much more mature, and in her junior year of highschool. She is able to understand herself, her needs, and her limits. She is able to have more control.

She is able to understand her feelings.

It was hard, at first, falling for someone who acted so cruel on the outside. She didn't even realize her admiration for such a person, until it got to an point she could not ignore. However, the hardest part of it all wasn't the months of friendship, gaining trust, or the patience. No, it was that she had fallen for a woman. She couldn't help but find herself fantasizing about women since she was young, but also men. It was confusing and broke her spirits constantly. No matter what she did, or how she tried to control it, the feelings would resurface making her lose that part of security and control she had over that part of her.

It ate away at her mind.

This girl, by chance, had happened to be a vicious and cold person, atleast to an untrained eye. Where most saw poison, Tori saw rose gardens. Throughout the nastiest and the pain that girl had brought upon her, she could see through it, a rare trait among the majority of her peers. Once she pushed past those thick layers of thorn bushes, the entrance to the garden had slowly come to light. This woman, Tori Vega's mortal enemy since she arrive at her new school years ago, finally was able to let her true self shine through. Tori could see it in the green cities of snow that filled her eyes, fittingly with her name. Jade West.

Jade was never keen on relationships, ever since she was young her family was broken. She chose to block the memories out, but they still manifest within subconscious activities in her day to day life. The walls she had to build up were arduous to climb over, the weak willed wouldn't dare to touch those walls. Being so heavily guarded emotionally left little room for regular people. It was difficult to understand why someone like Tori, who got off to an awful start with Jade, would be one of those people to scale the mountainous walls and thorns for someone like herself. Tori herself was perplexed, just knowing how drawn she was to the glimpses of light poking through the thick thorn bushes and walls surrounding Jade's true sense of self.

Despite this, she was determined to reach the garden. And to her surprise, she did.

Finding peace is never easy in this world, however moments of calm inbetween the anarchy can make it a whole lot more bearable. A warm bath, some dim lights and scented candles, the light L.A rain pitter-pattering softly on the window, and Jade West sitting right there with her made the tan girl find her peace, just for a moment. Jumbled thoughts untangled and floated away and Tori sighed, her back pressed against her taller girlfriend sitting behind her. Jade's arm would slowly and delicately trace lines up and down the other girls arm subconsciously, listening to the rain in silence. This was bliss.

This was love.

"Hey, Jade?" a soft voice spoke up.

"What is it?" a whisper came back.

"Are you happy?"

A long pause followed that question, and Tori started to have a growing feeling of anxiety. She didn't want this moment ruined by her, she just wanted a calm day with her spouse. Before her anxiety could creep up anymore, however, the low, soft-spoken voice came back.

"Yes."

Tori found the two corners of her mouth pull upwards into a smile, closing her eyes.

"You make me happy, as much as I say I hate being happy..you make me feel a different happy. The definition that happy is supposed to be." Jade elaborated.

"I do?"

"You do."

The pale girl sitting behind Tori pressed a light kiss into her neck, as it was left exposed by her long chestnut hair being pulled up into a messy bun. She made it effortless to love her. In moments like this, Jade's typical sarcastic and bold behavior was dwindled down into a relaxed, soft demeanor. Maybe it was because of the intimacy, or the fact that this was a perfect break to take for the amount of weight Jade was carrying in her mind, she wasn't sure. Another possibility was her girlfriend's ability to unwind in these moments, and having that ability rub off onto her in a literal and metaphorical sense. Whatever the cause, it didn't matter to her counter part.

As the candles dripped into nothing, and the water became lukewarm, it was time to leave this timeless area of relaxation recharged and ready to keep pushing on until the next break they can get. Tori wrapped herself and her taller girlfriend in towels and embraced her tightly, and let of a breathe of relief. Jade brushed a stray piece of brunette hair behind Tori's ear and kissed her softly.

"I am so lucky to have you here with me."

"You're so cheesy" the shorter girl giggled.

"Never speak of it." she smiled, pressing her forehead to her's.

"I won't."
