Tori Vega's group of friends had decided they wanted to go camping, so they impulsively and without planning did so that same weekend. The kids rode in beck's rv and had Jade's black jeep following it deep down into the forest after a painstaking 3 hour drive from their residence. The air was moist and warm, and the slight fog and gray clouds in the sky slowly disappeared as they traveled deeper into the forest. The smell of moss and cedar wood dripped in the air as the group of teenagers arrived at their location far far away from civilization. Seeing as they were all 16 or 17, their parents trusted them or quite frankly didn't care enough that they were on their own for the weekend.

"Alright this should be the spot" Beck said to the group and to Jade over the phone. "Finally" she responded bluntly hanging up the call. Although the RV could have all of them comfortably ride together, Jade had to bring the Jeep to carry anything that couldn't fit in the RV. It would spare the two ex-lovers and their friends a 3 hour headache anyways. They all wanted an authentic camping experience in the wilderness so they set up their camp far from the RV. "This bites" Andre complained, already sweating and had to take off his flannel leaving him in a tank top. "I know" Tori replied also in a tank top carrying a cooler down to their spot. "Birdy!" Cat suddenly interrupted the group's concentration and ran to a tree, scaring some birds away. With a sound of defeat she retreated back to the now finished campsite, immediately in awe of their, at best, mediocre work.

Night fell quickly, and the teens broke out marshmallows, sticks, and built a campfire. A safe one however, Smokey would be so proud . "And the children were never found again. The only thing left behind from them is the sign next to the lake." Andre finished. They were all sitting on logs listening to dumb campfire stories one by one. Tori Vega did not have a weak stomach when it came to stories, but considering the environment and current circumstances, she was feeling paranoid, to the point she was almost shaking. Jade was sat right next to her and could she this happening. Although laughing to herself, she decided to not tell the others and make fun of her. A very odd decision in her nature. Tori noticed it and whispered a tiny "thanks" in gratitude, not receiving a response. She quickly realized she burnt her marshmallow, which Jade gladly made fun of. Everyone laughed and continued the stories until they felt a small drip. Then a few more, drip drip, until all of a sudden a total storm crashed down, putting out the campfire and sending the teenagers running back to the RV. Sadly, they didn't prepare for a rainstorm. It was so dark that most of them separated from the group, yet Tori and Jade ran into the paler girl's jeep finding it the fastest. "Shit!" Jade exclaimed after closing the door, her clothes soaking wet and hair dripping. "I know" Tori groaned, wringing out her hair. "It never rains like this in L.A! We moved because we hate this weather!" Jade snickered."Of course you do. I think it's lovely. Like the sky is sobbing because it's heart got pounded into dust." Tori shivered, partially because of the statement and partially because she was basically a sponge that couldn't hold anymore water. "That's it." Jade said before starting to take off her jacket. "Take off your clothes". "Woah hey! What do you mean?" Tori said blushing looking away in embaressment. "Relax Vega you're gonna catch a cold...and then you won't be at school so I won't have as many people to make fun of." The tan girl noticed a small hesitation in Jade's words. She couldn't help but feel a small smile grow, noticing she was probably just concerned. "Fine" she replied, taking off her shirt and fumbling with her belt red in the face. She changed out of her pants but kept her undershirt on, tugging it down for modesty, which seemed to slightly upset Jade. "Your turn." she said looking over to the pale girl who's cheeks had a slight tint of red to them. "Yeah I know" she said taking off her shirt and her bottoms, not being shameful or embarrassed. She enjoyed watching the shy girl look up and down her body, red in the face. "Having fun there?" she interrupted her staring session. "O-oh yeah, sorry..." Tori quickly glanced away and sighed, holding a lever under her seat to recline and stared at the sunroof being engulfed with water. Jade joined her soon after, watching the water fall and bounce on the glass.

"It's so pretty"

"Not as much as you" Tori replied, almost not thinking at all. Jade shot her a confused yet pleased look.

"Oh please, ugh."

"No I really mean it..! I know we have this thing where we hate each other but we don't at the same time.." Jade frowned at the phrase 'hate each other'

"But..I don't know you just..keep drawing me back in when I'm so frustrated. Like you make me happy when I'm around you, I guess.." she said her thoughts aloud, frightful of the raven-haired girl's response.

"Tori."

"Yeah?"

"I think you're pretty too."

Vulnerability was begging to crawl out of Jade's lips after she said what she thought with no bitter sting added on. They both stared as the raindrops fell onto the roof then washed away into the night. Almost simultaneously, their glances shifted to eachother's eyes as they slowly sat up. Jade studied the other one's face carefully as she slowly leaned in, cupping the shorter girl's cheek lightly. The tan girl leaned in, trying to push her anxiety behind her. "Is this okay?" Jade breathed. Tori only shook her head and closed the small gap between their lips, a passionate yet gentle kiss.

"Why..?" Tori said as she pulled away, still holding onto Jade.

"Why what?"

"I mean I just..I don't know..do you seriously feel this way about me? I've basically never seen you like this before.."

"Is it bad?" Tori could tell she sounded defensive, scared even.

"No..I like this..I like you" she quietly giggled. "It's just such a contrast from your usual you."

"With time you'll see, I've just been so bad to you for so long to hide my feelings and protect myself but you just come knocking my walls down..it's hard to not be vulnerable when we're talking like this right after..." she flicked her eyes down towards Tori's lips again. Tori got the message.

Time seemed non-existent as Jade crawled ontop of the smaller girl and pushed her down into the seat, their gentle kiss growing into a whirlwind make out. Lips, teeth, tongues all colliding together as the rain fell above them. Eventually they slowed to a stop, Jade sitting up listening to quiet pants escaping from both of their lips. Tori began to laugh after kissing the top of the other's nose. "Let me take you out sometime, okay? I promise I'll be my half bitchy self again." Tori chuckled and held onto Jade's waist. "Of course."
