(three months later)
Clarke smiles at the brunette leaning on the fence, getting hit with a wave of dejavu. But the moment is broken by a blood curdling scream. It's Aden. Clarke eyes lock with Lexa's before she turns on her heel and sprints toward the barn. "Aden?!" Clarke screams into the wind, barreling into the barn, wide ears searching for the boy. "Aden!!" Clarke spots a tuft of blonde hair behind an open stall door. Clarke stumbles, shaking in fear. Aden is laying across the dirt floor, sobbing. "Shush it's okay I got you it's okay." Clarke pushes blonde hair out of a nasty cut on his forehead. "It's okay baby we'll get this cleaned up. Aden finally realizes what's going on and shoots away from Clarke. "Hey, it's fine buddy you're not in trouble."
"GET AWAY YOU'RE NOT MY MOM" Aden breaks into tears again, "I WANT MY MOM WHERE'S MY MOM" Clarke pulls back at the harsh words like she's been slapped across the face. She's taken care of Aden for the past three months now, after school, in the morning and at night. She had felt like he was becoming a son to her. Apparently the feeling wasn't returned. Lexa bursts in and scops Aden into a hug.
"Tell me where it hurts love, tell me where it hurts." Aden hiccups, pointing at his cut and then to his knees that were pretty banged up as well. Lexa carries him out, mouthing sorry back to Clarke. Clarke has a small smile, shaking her head, mouthing it's fine back at her.
