Jack's P.o.V
Throughout the month, Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, and I teach Evelyn about being a Princess. A couple days after Grace took Evelyn's measurements, she came in with several dresses to make sure they fit right. Soon enough, Evelyn had a new wardrobe fit for a Princess.
Elsa and Anna took over most of the boring parts of Evelyn's training. Things like the history, trade, learning titles, learning the neighboring kingdoms. Kristoff and I took over how she should act. I took the honor of teaching her how to dance formally. By the end of the month, she knew all of the basics and then some. I was so proud.
On the day of the ball, the girls get ready fairly early. Elsa and I worked out our speech to introduce Evelyn last night. I decide to check in on Evelyn before I get ready.
"Come in!" she calls when I knock on her door. I enter and see her sitting and looking at her dress.
"Hey, how are you feeling?" I ask.
She sighs, "Nervous."
I walk over to her and sit beside her, "Don't be, you'll be fine. They'll love you and I know you'll do wonderfully."
"I guess, but I just don't know what they expect of me. What if I'm not what they're looking for?" she says.
"Don't worry, alright?" I kiss her forehead, "Now get changed. I still have to change." She giggles. I get up and close the door behind me. I go to my room to get changed. My suit is dark blue with white pants. It's like a theme in the family, blue and white, those are our colors. I brush out my hair a little and head out.
Evelyn's P.o.V
After Jack leaves, I sigh and get up. I put on my dress and put on a little makeup. Elsa comes in after a little while.
"Evelyn, you look wonderful." she says, sitting me down so she can start on my hair.
"Thank you, mom. You look beautiful too." I say.
"Thank you, sweetie." She gets my hair into a style I never knew it could be put in. When she finishes she looks at me. "One last thing." she says. She walks out and returns with a box. She opens it and pulls out a tiara.
"It's amazing." I breathe, I've never seen anything like it before.
"I had it made for you." she says. "You'll be crowned by me and your father." I smile at her and look at myself.
"Are you nervous?" she asks.
"A bit." I reply.
"Don't be, you'll do fine." she tells me.
I smile, "That's what dad said."
"Great minds think alike." she says. "Alright, come on. It's time for you to meet your people." I get up and look at myself once more.
I'm not sure who, but someone thought it would be a good idea to put me, the super clumsy girl, in a white dress. I stay away from white because I spill things so much. My dress is strapless and fitted to my waist, then it flows into an a-line with a blue ribbon under the bust. A blue cape behind me. Elsa wears a blue dress with white accents and a white cape.
When we walk out, Jack is waiting for us. He straightens up, "You ladies look lovely."
"Thank you, you look very dashing as usual." Elsa says.
He holds out his arm, "Are we ready?"
"We are." she says. I follow them to the balcony where I will be introduced to the kingdom. When we get there, she straightens out his suit a little.
"Their Majesties, King Jackson and Queen Elsa!" Kai announces. The doors open and they walk out arm in arm. The doors shut and I listen to their speech.
"Greetings, ladies and gentlemen. Thank you for joining us on this lovely day!" Elsa says.
"Over the month, our daughter, Evelyn, has trained long and hard to be a Princess fit to rule." Jack says.
"Now it's time for you to meet your new Princess!" Elsa concludes. I take a deep breath.
"Now presenting her royal Highness, Princess Evelyn of Arendelle!" Kai says. Trumpets play and the doors open. I stand straight and walk out slowly. When I get to the front, everyone bows to me. I feel a little weird, but put on a smile. When they straighten up, Jack puts his hand on my shoulder.
"Thank you all for the warm welcome. I hope I exceed your expectations." I announce.
Elsa takes out the tiara and holds it out to Jack. I kneel as they set the tiara on my head. I rise as everyone claps.
"Long live, Princess Evelyn!" the crowd cheers.
"The ball will begin shortly, thank you!" Elsa finishes. The trumpets play again and we turn around and walk back in.
"Great job, Evelyn." Jack tells me.
"You were absolutely wonderful." Elsa agrees.
"Thank you." I say. "Should we head down?"
"Yes, Anna and Kristoff should be waiting for us." she says. We go down and find them by the entrance. Anna is wearing a dark red and gold dress with a gold ribbon in her hair. Kristoff has on a dark red jacket with black pants and a gold sash.
"You two look wonderful." I say.
"Thank you, Evelyn. You all look amazing too." Anna says.
"Are we ready?" Elsa asks. We nod. "Alright. Guards, open the gates!"
We greet people as they enter and thank them for coming. Soon, we wait just outside the ballroom.
"Okay, Evelyn. So Princes will come up to you and ask if you'd like to dance. You say 'yes' and then just go. They'll stop your dance after a while and the whole thing repeats." Jack tells me.
I nod, "Alright."
"I know you'll do wonderfully." he says, kissing my head.
"Thanks, dad." The music stops and so does the chatter. "Here we go!" he says.
"Prince Kristoff and Princess Anna of Arendelle!" Kai's voice rings out. They walk out together. "King Jackson and Queen Elsa of Arendelle!" They walk out and I'm let alone, yet again. "And finally, her royal Highness, Princess Evelyn of Arendelle!"
I take a deep breath and walk out slowly.
