The Power of Winter 2 (A Jelsa Fanfic Sequel)

Chapter 30

                                                Anna's P.o.V 

All of us walk into town together.  We stop by the candle shop first, as I suggested.  When we enter, the shop owner looks up and rushes in front of the counter to bow.

"Your Majesties, what an honor." he says.

"Please, the honor is ours, having such wonderful people in this lovely kingdom." Elsa says, nodding in return.

"We heard this was a wonderful place for new scents." I say.

"Of course!  We have several new scents in stock.  Please, look around as long as you like." he says.  We walk around smelling some of the candles.

"What sort of scents help you relax or unwind?" I ask the owner.

He takes me to a couple different scents, explaining how it helps.  I end up getting two for later on in my pregnancy for everyone's sake.  

"Where to next?" I ask as we leave the shop.

I see a little girl run up to Evelyn.  "Princess, where were you?  I haven't seen you around for a long time." she asks, tugging on Evelyn's dress.

"Alli!" the girl's mother exclaims, pulling her away.  "So sorry, your Highness, she hasn't learned how to act around royalty."

"No, no, it's fine.  Don't worry." Evelyn says.  She sits on her knees in front of Alli.  "I've been away for a while.  I had to take care of some things around the world." she says.

"We've missed you here.  You used to show us your powers, remember?" Alli says.

I smile at those memories when we took Evelyn into town.  "Of course I do.  And don't you worry.  I won't be leaving again for a long time." Evelyn says.  "Here, watch this."

Evelyn holds out her hand and makes snowflakes hover above her palm.  She takes her other hand and closes it around the snowflakes.

"There." she says, opening her hand.  "I made some snowflakes for you and your friends.  They won't melt now."  She pours the snowflakes into Alli's little hands.

"Wow, thank you, Princess!" Alli exclaims, throwing her arms around Evelyn's neck.

"You're welcome, Alli.  You and your mom have a wonderful day, alright?" Evelyn says.

"You too.  Goodbye!" Alli says, walking over to her mother again.

"Goodbye." Evelyn waves.

"Thank you, your Highness.  And I'm really sorry." Alli's mother says.

"Please, it was nothing.  Have a wonderful day." Evelyn says, standing up.  They walk off.

"You did perfectly, Evelyn." Elsa praises.

"More than perfect!  You went above and beyond!" I say.  "You're making a great role model for girls like Alli."

"Thanks, Anna." she says.

"Now, back to my earlier question, where are we going?" I ask again.

"Maybe we should just walk around and see." Kristoff suggests.

"Off we go, then!" I say.  We walk around, looking at the shops in town and greeting some of the villagers.  Then we pass the bakery.  I breathe in the scent of bread and cookies and deliciousness.

"Oh man, that smells good." I say.

"I think Anna needs a snack." Kristoff says, wrapping his arm around me.

"I think all of us need a snack." Elsa says.

"Let's see what they have." Jack says, holding the door open.

"Why thank you, kind sir." Elsa giggles.  We go in and look at the amazing selection of baked goods.  I get two chocolate chip cookies, Evelyn gets a small roll, Kristoff gets a bagel, Elsa gets a muffin, and Jack gets a croissant.

We eat our snacks while continuing our walk through town.  

                                               Elsa's P.o.V 

We walk around for a while after our snacks, then decide to get lunch.  Kristoff says he knows the perfect place, then leads us there.

We go into a small diner at the edge of town.  The hostess curtsies, then assigns us the able with the best view of the kingdom.  She gets us all a glass of water, then leaves us with a menu.

"It smells so good in here." Anna sighs.

I giggle, "It does, indeed."  We look over the menu and order.  While we wait, I look over at Jack.  "I think it's time we asked them." I whisper.

"This is a good time." he whispers back.

I nod and kiss him quickly.  "So, Anna, Kristoff." I start.

"Yeah?" they ask at the same time.

"Jack and I have been thinking over the past two days." I say.

"Uh oh, where is this heading?" she says.

"Be patient, Anna.  We were thinking about the kingdom and how we haven't been here.  You two did a wonderful job while we were gone.  Plus, with us being immortal spirits, a lot of the people aren't that happy."

"We were thinking you two should take over." Jack finishes.

They look at us.  "What?" Kristoff breathes.  "You want me to be the King!?"

"Look how you did while we were away!  You did an amazing job.  You're totally ready to be a King." Jack assures him.

"Me be a Queen!?  While I'm like this!?  I can't handle that!" Anna exclaims.

"No, Anna, don't worry.  We're going to wait until you've given birth and recovered.  Then we'll crown you." I say, calming her down.

"Oh, good." she says.  She looks at Kristoff.  "What do you think?"

"Well, if we have that long to prepare ourselves, I guess so." he shrugs.

"Kristoff, you'll make a wonderful King.  You already know the kingdom and the people so well!" I tell him.

"Alright," he says, "I guess we'll do it."

"Wonderful!  We'll make sure you know what's in store when the day is near." I say.

We talk until our food comes, then we eat, pay, and walk around a little more.  We go back to the palace and sit in the library together.  We read, then talk some.

"I'm glad we had today to ourselves." Anna says, leaning her head on Krisoff's chest.  They're snuggled together on the couch.

"Me too, it was really nice." Evelyn says.  She's been quiet most of the day, and I don't blame her.  She needed it.

"Let's end it with a nice dinner, shall we?" I ask.  We get up and go have dinner, then go to bed early.

"Our last day without work." Jack says, sitting on our bed, already in his pajamas.

"Let's enjoy it." I smile.  I change quickly and get ready.  I crawl in bed beside him.

"Goodnight, Love Queen." he says, kissing me.

"Goodnight, Frost King." I grin.  He wraps his arms around my waist and we fall asleep.
