I wake up fairly early, which is no surprise considering I went to bed at 7:30 last night.
I run my eyes and comb my hair back. I have no plans today, I'm not sure if I'm happy about it or not. On one side I don't have to worry about getting up and ready, but on the other side, I have nothing to do but wallow in my own misery.
I roll over so that I'm face-down in my pillows and scream into them.
'Hey...'
I nearly fall off the bed at the sound of his voice, but I don't answer.
Why? Because I couldn't think of anything to say.
'Look... I'm sorry for being so....' his voice trails off. I smile slightly. Now that I'm actually listening, and not preoccupied with other things, I notice just how soothing his voice is.
It's not your fault, it's mine. You're right, I shouldn't flirt, considering... considering I've already found my soulmate- for the most part.
He chuckles. 'I've been a dick, I'm sorry. Now... if you're not busy, I'd like to get to know you... if that's okay?'
My face cracks in an enormous grin. Finally, yes! I practically shriek.
Excited can't describe how I'm feeling right now. It's a mix between excitement, fear, nervousness, and something else I can't find a name for.
He chuckles in the back of my mind, a voice so faint, I almost don't hear it. It calms all my nerves.
