"frank."
"what's up, amelia? 'sup cousin?"
tucker and i had made sure to come in right as frank's shift ended. i hold up his present.
"oh my god, amelia! you didn't have to."
i smile at him and hand it over. "i wanted to. merry christmas!"
i squeeze tucker's bicep in excitement as frank spots the gucci box underneath the tissue paper. his mouth drops. "you're kidding."
"nope. open it!"
it's a brand new belt: the same one from the day i gave him my number.
"god...amelia..." frank says in awe. he leans over to give me a hug. "thank you! i fucking love this belt."
"remember when you said i'd thank you for the number?"
frank nods, looping the belt around his jeans. "yeah?"
"this is that. thank you, frank."
the end
