A Good Day (7)

Chapter Seven:

Jeno's P.O.V:

I watched Rei as she disappeared into the kitchen, and I was left with her boss Daehyun. He looked at me, and then he became all serious.

"You will not hurt her okay?" He said.

"What-- what do you mean?" I asked him.

"Rei is a good worker and a good friend of mine. I swear if you hurt her, I will hurt you too."

"I won't hurt her.. I promise I won't.. But I'm confused. Why are you telling me this?" I told him.

"Look I know about you and Rei dating okay."

"WHAT."

And like she knew, Rei came to our table at the perfect time.

"What's happening you guys?"

Rei's P.O.V:

I kept thinking about what Daehyun would be telling him.

'He could be embarrassing me.. Like he usually does.' I thought and laughed to myself. Daehyun was always that kind of friend.

I walk out and I hear Jeno say a loud "WHAT." I got to their table immediately and asked them what's up. Daehyun just looked at me and smiled. I looked at Jeno and he seemed confused.

"Rei, why'd you tell him we were dating?!" He asked me.

"I-- I didn't tell him. That-- oh my god wait he said that?" I asked him.

Jeno nodded his head in agreement as I sighed out in anger.

'Daehyun. What have you done.' I thought to myself as I saw Daehyun smiled at me and give me a thumbs up. Why Daehyun? Why?

The time was 8:00 and I finally finished my shift at work. Daehyun and I said our goodbyes and I went walking with Jeno in the nightlife. He told me some history about some places and we laughed a lot.

We finally made it to his house as our day ended.

"Rei I can't thank you enough." He told him.

"It's no problem."

"You always say that. But I feel like it is."

"What-- what do you mean?"

"You saved my life Rei.. I can't stop thanking you. You're my life saver."

I stopped at his words 'You're my life saver.' I'm his.. Did he really just say that to me? Oh my god I think I'm blushing.

Without even knowing it, he grabbed me into a hug, and I hugged him back.

"See you soon?" He asked me.

"Yea, your clothes are still at my house you know."

He laughed. "Yea I know I know."

"Okay I gotta go. It's getting late." I told him. His face suddenly changed into something that looked concerned.

"Rei, you sure you can go home at a time like this. It's really late." He asked me.

"Yea. Don't worry for me. You just go home."

He turned to walk into his house. The door was unlocked. He turned back to look at me one last time. "Thank you Rei." Jeno last said as he waves bye at me.

"It's not a problem." I said as I waved back at him and started walking on my route.

This was a good day.

I got home really late. And yet the lights were still on. I opened the door to see my brother passed out on the couch with a beer in his hand, and a six pack of beer next to him. Empty.

'Fuck.' I thought as I already started to clean up.

B-Bomb, woke up too. He rubbed his eyes, then he saw me and smiled. "Rei. It's late. And you just just got home? Damn."

"B-Bomb this is normal." I told him as I started cleaning up more of the trash I saw.

"Go rest Rei, you deserve it. I'll clean up here." B-bomb told me as he stood up and started cleaning up trash near him.

"You're sober?! Hold up, you didn't drink?!" I was shocked.

"I don't drink Rei, Kyung and Jiho are the drinkers. I'm the one that makes sure they don't do stupid shit. You know what your brother does."

I scoffed at his remark. "No kidding."

I threw the trash I had and started walking towards the hallway. I heard B-Bomb telling Kyung to wake up, and kyung hit him as he fell back asleep. I laughed at the both of them and turned back towards my room. With one last turn, I looked at B-Bomb.

"Thanks again B-Bomb."

"Go rest Rei. I'm just paying you back like this because I drank you're Banana milk."

I laughed and walked back to my room and got myself freshened up.

Once I was done. I laid in my bed, looking at the ceiling thinking about the day.

"What a day." I told myself.

And before I knew it, I was asleep.
