I sit in the back of the car just studying Jess. It baffles me how lucky I am to have won over a girl like her. I don't think I will ever be able to comprehend it. I have had this idea planned for so long now. i know marriage wasn't always my intended goal in life and part of me was just doing this because i knew that is what jess wanted however as soon i got down on one knee everything felt right and i knew that this is what i wanted too.
We soon arrive at the nice cocktail bar that u had rented out for the evening and invited all our friends and family to. Would have been awkward if she had of said no. I open the door for jess and we walk in hand in hand to everyone cheering. Jess smiles at me before we go and mingle. I head to the bar to grab us both a drink, i pick a glass of champagne up each from the bar and find Jess. I give her a peck before trying to focus on the conversation which is hard as i am so overwhelmed. As focused as i am on this amazing incredible night my mind is fighting with some news i got about my ma while away on tour. She isn't very well again and things are not looking good, she wasn't able to fly over for this evening and i am really worried.
I excuse myself from Jess and hunt through everyone to find one of my many siblings. Over at the bar i find Andi.
Andi: Hi little bro, congratulations!
She pulls me into a big hug and i thank her.
Andi: Are you happy?
Danny: Of course, Jess is amazing. But, i can't help but be side tracked by ma. How is she?
Andi: How honest do you want me to be right now?
I think it over for a split second.
Danny: completely
Andi: It's not looking good, she is just getting worse but the doctors have hope so we haven't given up yet. It would be good for you to go see her.
Danny: I know, i know. I am planning to, i just need to talk to Jess. We both landed back from tour today and haven't had two seconds to talk to each other yet, I am thinking of flying out in a few days. I feel so bad for not being there.
Andi: don't be ridiculous Dan, ma gets it she dealt with Dad and it is your job. She has all over us around her, she hasn't been alone. Don't beat yourself up about it.
I pull her into another hug.
Andi: Don't stress about it tonight, please Dan for Ma, enjoy your night. Come on
She mumbles into my chest before encouraging back into the party. Just tonight i am going to focus on my beautiful wife to be.
*Jess*
Jess: Tonight has been amazing, thank you, you are beyond incredible
I smuggle into Danny's arm as we sit in the back of a taxi on the way home. I am exhausted from tour and travelling but i feel so alive.
Danny: you know what else is going to be amazing tonight... the newly-engaged-celebration-sex
He whispers in my ear sending shivers down my spine. It has been months and my inner goddess cannot wait. I kiss his neck softly.
Jess: I don't know if it can get anymore amazing
I whisper and the car cannot get to our house soon enough. As soon as we pull out we both get out and almost run into the house our limbs just a blur as we fight to tear each others clothes off. We don't even bother making it upstairs as i push him back onto the sofa.

Jess: well... that truly was amazing
Danny: I can't believe you are finally back in my arms, and going to be forever, future Mrs O'donoghue
I kiss him again.
Danny: Jess, i need to talk to you about something
Jess: of course babe, what's up?
I rest up on my side while pulling a blanket over us.
Danny: I got some news while i was on tour, my Ma isn't very well and it's not looking good. Sorry i didn't say anything sooner but I -
I get up and wrap a blanket around me while he talks.
Danny: Jess?
Jess: Come on, get up
Danny: What?
Jess: We're going now. Go pack some stuff, i'll book us a flight and a taxi.
Danny: It's late, you're tired. It's ok i'll fly out in a few days.
Jess: Daniel, this is your mother. It is important. Lets fly out tonight, we can sleep when we get there and you can see her first thing tomorrow. You are going to regret it if you don't go and something happens. Family is important, come on.
I look at him insistently, letting him know i have won.
Danny: How did i get so lucky?
He gets up and hugs me before running off upstairs to pack. I really hope Ailish is ok, it will destroy Danny to lose her, especially with the anniversary of his dad's death on the horizon. I grab one of my suitcases packed still from the tour which i know is full of casual things and place it by the door. I run upstairs and grab some leggings, a jumper and my beanie. I jog back downstairs and grab jackson's dog crate. Once i'm ready i sit down on the sofa and look through my photos from tonight. I pick out a couple to show off my outfit and one of Danny and I together to post on instagram.

I haven't announced the news of our engagements and i don't really want to right now. Especially since there are more pressing issues at hand. But in the photos it is clear to see my huge diamond, always fun to tease.
Danny soon comes down as we put our stuff into the cab and head towards the airport.
Jess: are you ok?
I ask softly as he distantly looks out the window.
Danny: yes, thank you. I love you
Jess: I love you more
Danny: impossible
He murmurs while kissing the top of my head while i hug him. As we pull up to the airport i can see loads of paps milling about, we manage to push through them and head through the airport. I just hope we get there before anything happens...
