Alex pov

Before we even parked the car properly I was running out the car. My ever calm beta parked then made fast strides til he caught up to me.

'Alex calm down, the future alpha needs to be seen as strong and collected. Someone people rely on and respect.'

I stopped and took a deeo breathe when we got to the doors. Zane was right. My pack needed a strong, powerful leader that was not rash and couldnt keep his emotions in check or think level headed.

As soon as we walked in we sniffed our way to the back of the house where my fathers voice could be heard. But what I heard next had me running and shifting mid air to meet everyone. Zane had also shifted and was growling.

We came to halt once we saw everyone looking towards my father.

'Alex you and Zane along with an healer and two warriors will take the south east part of the town. If anyone is to find something suspicious you will not kill it, but weaken it and bring it back unless you have no choice but to kill it.

All the pregnent women, elderly and children are not allowed to leave the house which wil be guarded by my third in command Dan and warriors at every post.

Everyone GO!'

I took off with zane and the others following, what I heard running through my head again and again.  . . . .

~~hearing flashback before they shifted~~

'Whoever has attepmted to attack tonight has taken my younger son nate. Without knowing who we are dealing with this could be dangerous. My son alex is on his way, I will apoint every able member to go find my son. . .

I didnt even pay attention to anything after. The thought of whoever these idiots who took my brother had my wolf snarling ready to rip them apart.

'Alex, nate is like a younger brother to me too. But if we be too rash and rush forward the enemy may get away and nate. . . nate could get hurt'

I heard his wolf whine but mine just saw more red.

I tried calming down but my wolf was a very strong wolf and reelig him back was very hard. When I finally gained some control I stopped which had the others stopping too.

'Okay this part of the forest is most secluded so if we make too much noise we'l be caught out. Myself and two warrior wolves will continue to the left and Zane by beta will be accompanied with another two war wolves and the healer.

Everyone mind link eachother if you want to address any issues or have any problems.

Just remember I want my pack safe. My brother nate but you my fellow pack members too are also valuable. Be careful and move as a group'

Despite the circustances I could feel zane smile at me and the pack members respect rise. I swear I could also feel my dads proud smile.

It was about 5mins after running that I caught a whiff of nate. As I sent a mind link to my father and zane I pushed my legs harder and had my two warriors flank each my side to cover more ground.

We came to a stop near a cave where I could smell nate which was mainly covered in fear. And an unknown wolf yet almost nostalgic smell which smelt powerful, almost as powerful as dads third in command.

Eventhou I realised this other wolf was alone I coulnd barge in without knowing what goin on inside. If only nate was a shifted wolf I could have mind linked him

But that was a harsh reminder that nate was stil a child. An innocent child who was kidnapped by some looney bin.

I couldnt help the menacing growl that left my throat. Suddenly a crazy haggered familiar looking women came out dragging an almost battered unconcious nate.

I wanted to rush her right there and rip her manky throat out but the grip she hand on nates arm showed how she could easily break it if I dared to move.

'State your buisness! What is it that you want fron us. How dare you even touch a member of our pack'.

The crazy wolf lady just cackled a maniacal laugh that spread chills down my back as sge spat the word pack out like it was the worst kind of disease.

'Pack! don't disgust me boy. What pack?'

I dont know if it was because I had alpha blood running through my blood or just my blood lust wolf that had me snarlig in her face from the lack of disrespect about ones pack.

'Yes you crazy hag! MY pack! My friends, My families and My loved ones! clearly your a rogue! have you really forgotten what a pack even means'

I had shiftef back to human form but I could still feel my wolf with me.

'My my alex, you sure have grown. Your alpha eyes sure hold power' She gave out a sinister smile at my confused face.

'Dont you remember me? your aunt lisa? O well dear we will have to meet some othertime'

That name rang a bell but I couldnt place it. She used this moment of confusion to try and escape as she left nate body and ran.

Seeing nate stir caught my attention as I ran for him. Zanes group arrived and he barked at the healer to come heal nate as he came to a stop near me.

'Alex Alex dude snap out of it! nate is safe now but did ou get a hold of the captor?'

I felt my fathers aura before I saw him.

He came and licked at nate before he shifted and turned towards me.

'Son which way did the damn rogue go?' His alpha tone made me point towards the way lisa ran off too.

Just when he was about to take off I spoke

'Dad whose aunt lisa? She was the one who is responsible for all this'

Dad halted and turned towards me, his beta, martin had also joined us and looked shocked at the name aswell.

'Alpha I think we should all re group and head back'

Father nodded shakily.

'Everyone regroup. We are heading back to the pack house. Martin you and Dan will meet me at the alpha office. Alex, I want you and Zane to also meet us there.'

With that we were all running back, Nate was being carried by dad.

The more I thought of the name, the more little pictures were flashing through my mind.

Its when we got home and saw Dan did I remember that 'aunt lisa' was my mothers sister and fathers ex third in command before she went crazy and left the pack. . . . But what the hell happend that made her resent her own pack and hurt her own blood nephew.

Oookay so im sorry if you dislike this chapter but I really wanted to show and introduce alex and his pack more. Plus I dnt want alex as a strong aplha straighy away. I thort it wud b nice to c him grow as a character.

Also this chappy was hard to write because this is where the main story begins and I dudbt wana let u peeps down.
