7:22"HEY!"
For Mr. David Harbour, these kids were perhaps the weirdest - in both personality and combination - he's ever come across. And the screaming coming from the room next door, only further proved to him that they were just as he assumed them to be.
It was as if they hadn't even listened to him, when he told them that his office was right across the hall. Though, if he thought back on it, it would have been pretty apparent that they didn't hear a word he said.
"What's going on in there?" he really did not want to walk into that room, even if it cost him his life... well.
Finally the shouting had dialled down, and David didn't have to leave his office after all.
"Smug little pricks," 22 minutes down 518 to go. Not that he was counting or anything.
After hearing the yells come from across the hall, the shouting between the group had finally reduced to what could be addressed as a 'sensible' level of volume. The space between the group was apprehensive, yet they seemed to be analysing what had only just happened.
Finn however seemed to be bored of the recent silence and stood up out of his chair once more. He walked over to a railing and placed himself down, his half-revealed hands gripped the bar, supporting him and keeping his body upright. Still though, he slouched his shoulders over and began talking to the group once more.
"What do you say we close that door." he jerked his head towards the exit before looking around the room again.
"Why," Gaten questioned the boy, cautious as to what he was planning next.
"We can't have any kind of party with Harbour checking us out every few seconds," his answer was professedly justifiable, but then again what type of party he was thinking of was the worry.
"Well, you know the door's s'posed to stay open..." Noah noted, but then realised that his words may have been taken the wrong way by Wolfhard, and so he trailed off the end of his sentence.
"So what?"
"So why don't you just shut up!" Caleb had snapped at him once again, turning to face him, "There's five other people in here you know..."
"God, you can count!" Finn's voice was soaked with sarcasm, that was directed towards the jock, yet it was only countered with an eyeroll.
"See! I knew you had to be smart to be a... a wrestler" he looked the boy up and down, trying to decide what it was that he actually did.
"Who the hell are you to judge anyway," Gaten added, now more aware of the conversation.
"Really..." Millie was honestly curious as to who the boy thought he was, judging someone who was nothing like him, and never would be.
"You know, Wolfhard," Caleb started, "you don't even count. I mean if you disappeared forever it wouldn't make any difference. You may as well not even exist at this school."
The words tumbled off his lips carelessly, after all they were aimed at Finn Wolfhard, the juvenile delinquent with no human emotions. They were thrown at Finn unexpectedly however, and haphazardly, and were quite the surprise to him.
They were familiar words to him and perhaps that's why they he took a pause to recollect himself. His emotions however, stayed locked up inside of him, protected by his harsh persona before firing words back at letterman,
"Well... I'll just run right out and join the wrestling team."
At this both Millie and Caleb looked at each other. At first, they were questioning whether or not he was being serious but upon realisation, they burst into chortling laughter, with Gaten laughing along with them.
