Gwen's mum and Simon insisted we go back to New York for a while, just so that we can be with the family. We decided we'd go for 2 weeks, just to keep them happy. Gwen doesn't let go of my hand any time throughout the journey. In the taxi, on the plane, she doesn't let go. Neither do I. I don't even attempt to take my hand away. It's like she doesn't even know she's holding my hand. It's like second nature to her to be holding my hand.
We walk into Gwen's apartment, and greet her family. Gwen's mother gives me a hug, and we sit down and discuss the future wedding. Gwen's mother offers me a glass of her finest champagne. Gwen leans in towards me. "She must like you." She whispers as her mother hands me a glass. I laugh slightly at Gwen's remark, and pull her in closer. She leans In towards me. Simon smiles at us, and says "I approve of your love. It's obvious you love her Peter." He walks up to me, and pats my shoulder. "But I warn you, don't beat her at Mario Kart. Now that's when she gets angry." He says, before walking off to join his mother in the kitchen. "So, you don't like Mario Kart?" I say to Gwen. "Only when someone beats me." She says, trying to act serious. We both laugh softly. She sits up and kisses my cheek softly. "I love you." She whispers in my ear before kissing my cheek again. "I love you too." I whisper back to her. It's not long before Gwen is asleep, next to me, he head on my shoulder. I close my eyes, and think of the events of the week. I can't believe they ruined it. They ruined our wedding. And I trusted him. Gwen sighs in her sleep, and smiles softly. It was torture seeing Gwen in that state on our wedding day. Just pure torture. I just want to make her happy. I want to dedicate my life to her. I will do anything for her. She is my key to life. I can't live without her.
