Chapter 2 | A Growing Accelerato |

I stared up in shock at the face above, smiling at me, but...who was she? Where am I? What's all this...light, and noise? It was like the time my abyss changed, so...overwhelming,

Before I knew it, something burst from inside me. Wails rang out around the room, and salty tears ran down my cheeks. The added noise only made me cry louder, growing in volume until it was at its peek.

The white-haired woman's face flashed with panic, as she desperately tried to calm me, making soothing noises and soft hushes. She bumped me up and down, and the movement distracted me from the fear I had felt earlier. Slowly, my wails shifted to whimpers, then sniffles, and soon, a sense of lethargy overcame me.

The women sent me a soft smile, her amber eyes shining warmly at my oddly small form. Soon, I was lulled into a sleep.

The days in this new body were mostly spent sleeping, eating, and staring blandly and the ceiling. For some odd reason, I felt a sense of unsatisfaction...boredom?

I had never felt bored before, it was an annoying feeling.

I came to the conclusion, after searching for answers in the wall beside my crib, that this new feeling was due to there actually being a passage of time, one of the senses most don't really notice.

It was aggravating, being stuck in this body. After many fruitless attempts of moving like my other body did (Mostly ending up with injuries and much crying), I found out that this body was, to put it bluntly, useless.

Though, I did find out something that was actually useful. During that first sleep, I was sent back into the abyss, where the whispers told me what was going on.

Apparently, up until now, I had been residing in the mindscape of a child, currently a baby, and that I was sharing a body with them.

They didn't tell me how I got into another child's body in the first place, but it was a start.

I also discovered that that glowing orb of light was something called 'Chakra', an energy that keeps all thing alive in this world. It was everywhere, in the trees, in the ground, in the animals, in fact, this energy was so powerful, that there were actual beings made of pure chakra.

It was fascinating, this was all so new, but a good kind of new.

After getting such a good reaction from teaching me, the whispers decided to give me more knowledge of this world and its workings every time I slept, which was often. I learned that this chakra could be controlled and changed into some sort of cheat code to life! You could channel it towards your feet and make them stick to vertical surfaces, you could make your hits stronger, make yourself run faster, give yourself more stamina, even make it into elements and use them as attacks!

This was taught to me in the first five lessons with the whispers, after that, everything became even more baffling.

They told me about the history of this world, how the chakra beasts came to be, how there were clans that warred for many years, before coming together and forming villages, one of the most notable ones being Konohagakure. They told me of how the land was split, forming the nations, the land of Fire, water, lighting, earth, and wind. They told me of the powerful clans that resided in the Land of Fire's Konoha, how one was even descended from a powerful man who had lived many years ago.
