Scott woke up, still slightly tired. He felt like he had only slept for a second. He stiffened when he felt a hand touch his hip. Without thinking he immediately slapped the person and yelled, "No!" In slight fear. Scott sat up and saw a red hand mark on William's face. The purple male looked slightly confused, and rubbed his cheek.
"What was that for?" He demanded, while at the same time, whined. Scott got up, ignoring the fact that he had slept with another male. He threw on a shirt with a band logo on it. He left a hurt and confused Will sitting on the bed. He plugged in his earbuds and casually asked, "Are you coming?"
Will shot up and stumbled after Scott. They didnt have work today, so they could spend the whole day together. Scott pushed him away. "Stop standing so damn close to me!" He walked out the door, humming to his music.
Will followed, staring at Scott. Scott occasionally glanced over to Will, and grumbled, "If you're going to ask me something, ask it. Its rude to stare." Will almost jumped. He hadn't expected Scott to catch him staring. "Oh. Sorry. I just wanted to know..." Will looked to the trees, then to Scott, then to the Robin's egg blue sky, then to Scott again. "Why do you like the sky so much? I'm sure you have your reason, but to me it just looks like plain old blue..."
Sxott looked at the sky and his grumpy mood was immediately replaced with a bright smile. "See?" Will asked, "You just got all happy from just looking at it..." Scott hesitated at first, not really wanting to tell why. It was private to him. Like it was his life story, all bottled up. Yet, at the same time, he wanted to tell.
"When I was little, I used to see it as just a plain old blue and black, a waste of my time, not important." Scott paused, looking up again, then continued. "It holds a special place in ny heart. My mother said that the stars were endless, and those stars are her love. I know that's a bit cheesy, but I remember that like it was yesterday. When her death came around, she told me to remember something. I have. I remember that evey single day."
Will looked at Scott in amazement. He didnt think that the stars had meant that much. "What did she say?" He questioned. Scott smiled at him, then at the sky, he looked happy, despite the tears threatening their way out of his eyes. "She told me that shooting stars won't work for wishes. She said that instead, they were my loved ones giving me a kiss from heaven. So, every night when I see one, I blow a kiss back..."
Scott didnt realize it, but he had started crying. Somehow, he had ended up in Wills arms, crying into his chest. He wiped away his tears and pushed Will away. "Why are you just standing there? Mike and Jeremy are meeting us at the carnival!" He smiled like nothing had just happened. Like he wasnt just crying and remembering his mother. Will looked at Scotts arm, which was covered by a shirt sleeve. Despite the sleeve, he could see it. Clear as glass.
Scars.
Before Will could question Scott about it, the younger male ran off, looking as cheerful as ever. Will looked slightly hurt, and ran after Scott, who was surprisingly fast. That's bad if he ever needed to go.... Scott placed his hands on his hips. "We're here!" He looked over to William, who was panting and shook his head. He looked for Jeremy, and a moment later, found him. It's hard to miss a green sweater in a crowd of people wearing boring old gray colors.
Scott left Will behind and ran to Jeremy. "Hey!" He smiled at Jeremy, who, in reaction to the sudden noise, let out the most girly scream, causing Will to laugh, and Scott to slightly chuckle. "Sorry. I overslept. Someone came to my house at 3 in the morning." He glared at Will, who was now standing next to Mike. Jeremy smiled. "Its..i-it's okay, Scotty. W-we only...only j-just got here..." Scott smiled and grabbed Jeremy's wrist. "Great! Now let's go!"
While Scott lead Jeremy to the entrance, and paying for everyone to get in, Mike and Will talked, loud enough for each other to hear, but quiet enough for Scott not to hear them. "Hows the deal going, Will?" Mike looked at his son and Scott, they seemed to be distracted. Though Jeremy was younger, Scott acted like he was. Will nodded, and shrugged. "I can't tell anymore."
Mike looked confused and Will explained. "He let's me kiss him, then he pushes me away. He held my had, then the next day, acted like it never happened. Then he let's me sleep with him, and told me his fucking life story, and now..." he trailed off, noticing Scott hasn't bothered to look at him the entire time. Mike squinted. "You know you're supposed to make him fall for you. Not the other way around."
Will continued looking at Scott. His black hair, his chocolate brown eyes, his bright smile, his contagious laugh. He wanted to be with him. He wanted to kiss him and make all of his sadness go away. He wanted to be there for Scott. He wanted to cheer him up when he was sad, and make him laugh even if he was aready happy.
Without thinking he looked back at Mike. "The deals off." He growled. Mike stood where he was, stunned. "What? You can't just quit the deal! That's forf--" he was cut off by a $100 in shoved in his face. "Take it and shut the fuck up." Will demands, and Mike obeyed.
He smiled at William. "You really like him, dont you?" He didnt know what Will saw in Scott, but hes also never seen Will look more happy. "No." William replied, causing Mike to look at him in shock. "The hell do you mean--" once again, he was cut off.
"I love him."
