Scott licked his lips, still trying to process what was in front of him. He blinked, and rubbed his eyes. Sure enough, there it was, still standing in the meadow in front of him and William.
The purple male saw Scott's exited and shocked expression. "What do you think?" He asked, walking closer and motioning Scott to follow him.
Scott walked to the telescope, and ran a hand down it. He smiled at William with a bright happy face. "I love it! Oh, it's all I've ever wanted..." he trailed off, still looking at the telescope.
William smiled and sat down. "Glad you like it," he patted the grass next to him showing Scott he could sit down. "I figured you could teach me the constellations." He said as his date sat down next to him.
Scott blinked, his face bright with excitement. "Of course! We'll start now!" He eagerly replied, looking through the telescope. He stepped away, letting Will look through.
The look of amazement on William's face is what caused Scott to get even more exited. No ones bothered to learn about the stars before. Everyone found it weird or girly. It was nice to have someone want to actually learn.
"Whens your birthday?" Scott asked the purple male nex to him. He responded with, "October 31." Scott used his hand to point the telescope in a direction. He was so used to looking at the sky that he knew where everything was.
Scott pointed up, knowing that William couldn't even see him. "That's the scorpio constellation. It's the eighth sign in the zodiac," he explained matter-of-factly. He continued talking, while also trying not to sound boring.
"It originates from the constellation of scorpious. In fact, its often mistaken for a fire sign. Its actually a water sign. Representing strength from the physic emotional relm."
Scott stopped short, realizing he was probably getting boring. "Sorry. I didnt mean to talk that much." He placed his head in his hand, groaning in frustration. A hand was placed on his shoulder and Scott looked back up. "Its okay. I'm amazed you know that much," William trailed off, looking his date in the eyes. "Can you tell me about your sign?"
Scott thought for a moment and smiled, showing that he was going to. Will looked back into the telescope and Scott, once again directed him. "That's the Taurus. It's an earth sign. Taurus are often stubborn, practical, stoic, ambition and materialistic."
Scott stopped talking, signaling he was finished. William looked up at him. "You're birthday?" He asked. Scott nodded, "Oh! Its May 13." He looked back up, and saw not one, but three white streaks across the night sky. He gasped, causing William to jump.
"What? What is it?!" The purple male asked, slightly panicked. Scott took out his phone and looked at his calendar, confirming that it was today. "Theres a metor shower in about..." he looked up and saw it begin. "Now!"
The two watched the white streaks fly across the sky, occasionally blowing a kiss back. Scott rest his head on William's chest, cuddling into it. William held him close, watching the shooting stars with pure amazement.
He looked at Scott, and noticed that he was staring back at him. The two focused on each other, the stars not in any way mattering to them now. Suddenly, Scott pushed his lips against William's.
Will melted into the kiss, and deepened it. Scott pulled away, and smiled up at the taller male. His face was bright red not with embarrassment, but with happiness. He held William's hand, intertwining the twos fingers.
William looked down, and opened his mouth. "Scott?" He asked. A tired, "hm?" Sounded from on his lap. The purple male stoked Scott's black hair. "I love you." He sounded sincere about it. Scott smiled up at William. "I love you too."
"Scott?" William asked again, sounding a bit worried this time. "Yes Will?" Will took a deep breath and looked back up at the sky. "Will you be my boyfriend? Like, officials?" He braced himself for rejection, or at least getting hit. Instead he was greeted with a kiss on the cheek and a shy, "Of course."
He couldn't help it. Will picked Scott up by the waist and spun him around in the air, laughing. It took Scott a moment to process, but once he did, he was laughing as well. That laugh that could cheer anyone up, even the saddest person in the world.
The two kissed once again, in the light of the full moon. William let him go, still kissing his now boyfriend. Scott pulled away and smiled, "Cmon idiot, I have a lot more to teach you!"
