Ahh it's the last chapter my guys. I wanted to say, before we begin, I'm very honored that you chose to read this out of the 200 something other stories you could've read. I'm also sorry about the ending, I may write another Purplephone story with a better ending. Most importantly, thank you.

William didnt bother going to the layout. Or the funeral. They hadn't started untill after work. But he didnt plan on going. The thought of having to see Scott's lifeless body made tears prick his eyes.
He bounced a tiny bouncy ball onto the wall of the security office. Mike approached the door way, arms folded. "Y'know you cant be mad at yourself forever, Will." He said.
William sighed and nodded. "I know, Mike. But... what if he did it because of me? Then it would definitely be my fault." He spoke quietly, just barely above a whisper. Mike shrugged and patted Wills back. "Its not. Playing the blame game isnt going to solve anything."
William sighed and nodded his head. "Yeah...yeah you're right." He stood up and walked out. "Now hello me clean this hellhole up. Mike smiled and rushed after Will. "That's the spirit bud!" He playfully punched Wills arm.
"Dont push it."
_______________
William decided to go to the funeral. He needed to see Scott one last time before he was gone. But, Scott was already gone, wasnt he. He was long gone. Will knew it was a formal thing, but wore something Scott would've wanted. Something simple.
As he got into Mike's car, Jeremy sang along to a song on his phone. It annoyed the everlasting eff out of Will, but he said nothing. His two friends looked as sad as he was to be going. Will smiled a little as he realized he wasnt the only one grieving.
The car ride was long. No it wasnt actually, it just felt like it took forever. Like the universe didnt want them to make it. Or maybe Will didnt want to make it. Was there a specific time they needed to be there? Probably.
He looked out of his window and into the sky. He began to trace the stars above him with a finger just as Scott had one before.
Finally after what felt like forever, they arrived. It was crowded with people William didnt know. Some of them were family of Scott's, some friends. He slowly made his way through the crowd of people, asking for a seat. As he sat down, it began.
It began with Scott's grandmother giving a speech. One that made William tear up. Scott didnt deserve this. His life should've been longer. It should've been better.
His friend gave a speech as well. He talked about how Scott was a good person. How he didnt deserve to have his life thrown away like that. He didnt deserve to have died such a sad way. Again, tears.
Another speech. Then another. Then another. Will was surprised when he heard Scott's grandma ask him to say something. By this time, Will was crying. Still, he slowly nodded and stood up to the post where everyone else spoke.
He took a deep breath and spoke. "We all needed him. When we were sad, or happy, or mad. Scott was there for all of us, we cried in his arms, finding comfort in his fragile bones. He was there for us. When he needed us, not all of us were there," he pointed to Scott's father.
"You werent there when he came out as gay. His friends werent there when he needed help. I wasnt there. That's the thing. As I speak these words, Scott is still there. Whether hes looking at me from up or down, heaven or hell. He. Is. Still. There."
He paused, wiping tears that were falling out of his eyes. He began to speak again, but not to the crowd. "If you are watching us, Scott. Were sorry. We're sorry your life got cut off so soon. We're sorry that we couldn't help you when you needed it. Im sorry."
Will stepped away from the stand, signaling he was finished. Poeple hugged each other, giving sympathy to one another. He needed to see Scott. "Mr. Walker, may I see Scott?" He asked Scott's grandfather. The man was stern, but polite enough to say yes.
William opened the casket that was covered in white roses. He put a hand on Scott's cheek and closed his eyes, tears falling onto Scott. He opened them again and kissed the body, on the tip of the nose. The author thought that wasnt very sanitary but didnt care because they were feeling too many emotions from writing this.
"I love you Scott."
______________
William made his way to the hill he and Scott had thier first official date on. The telescope was still there, just not in good shape from all the storms. He lay down in the grass and looked up at the night sky.
The stars sparked with energy like they were having a grand time. William thought of all places, Scott would definitely be sent to heaven. He was an angel. An angel that made people smile. An angel that was always there. An angel that deserved to be living right now.
As William looked up he saw a white streak across the sky. He smiled as tears stained his face again.
He blew a kiss into the air
