the three slept peacefully and quietly in a dark dim room. hinata slept on shino's bed and shino and sasuke slept on the floor.
sasuke was waiting for shino to fall asleep so he could finally do what he needed.
he was angry.
furious.
he sat up and looked to his right, where the hyuga was sleeping. sasuke lies back down and turnt to his other side in annoyance.
hinata yawned, sitting up, suddenly feeling very thirsty. hinata stood up quietly, making sure to not wake up shino or sasuke as she stepped over them with ease.
but-
hinata slipped on one of the two's blankets and made it on top of sasuke. she freaked out, making sure he didn't wake up. she stood up immediately and walked out of shino's room.
she walked into the kitchen and rubbed on her belly, searching for a cold water bottle in the fridge.

sasuke walked out of the room, rolling his eyes. he walked into the kitchen and slammed his hands against the wall where hinata was. in shock, she only flinched, her heart rate increasing.
"a-um... s-sorry if i woke you up. i-i-i won't do it again..." she said in a low tone, trying to walk away and back in shino's room.
sasuke placed his other hand on the other side of her head to prevent her from leaving. he gritted his teeth.
tch.
this fucking dork liked him huh?
hinata looked flustered, frustrated about the situation. "a-ano... i-i wont do it again. i'm
s-sorry..." she stuttered, gripping onto the water bottle on her chest.
sasuke looked at her pale eyes. glaring at them. "so you liked that idiot huh?"
he was mad at the fact that he was mad?
for what?
mad that one girl didn't like him?
that one girl liked someone other than him??
no-
that wasn't it.
he felt something weighing in his heart when she came in mind. something so annoying he wanted to rip something to shreds.
what was that new fuckin feeling of his??
hatred?
"w-who-"
"don't act stupid. you liked that idiot naruto?"
sasuke saw her blush at the mention of his name, she dropped the water bottle and used her hands to wave,
"n-naruto? n-no... h-he has sakura n-now so i don't-" she was lying to herself.
when shino warned her about not falling for naruto, she should've taken it into consideration.
naruto was a clueless fucking person. nothing can go through his head until you beat it into him. "don't lie to yourself. he'd never like such a timid girl like you. so give up."
that's not what he wanted to say.
he wanted to say, "you make me mad." but he didn't. he didn't know what came over him- why was he so- jealous? so furious? about fucking what?
hinata stood there, speechless. she knew sasuke was right. naruto barely acknowledged her presence, let alone think of her as something more than a friend.
she felt her nose heating up as tears threatened to fall from her face.
but-
she smiled.

"t-thank you for the advice... i- i um... i appreciate it very much. i-i-" she stood there, holding back her tears.
sasuke stood still. watching her struggle.
it hurt him somehow.
he hurt from what he had done.
but he had done much more than break a girls heart. for fucks sake- he had committed murder. and this made him feel guilty??
"tch-" as he was about to walk away, hinata had clinged onto his shirt. he turned around. "what-"
"sa-sasuke-san... please don't tell shino that i like him again... pl-please." she had gotten on her knees and begged, bowing below sasuke.
sasuke felt- so much fucking new shit.
"get the fuck up. i don't give a shit. i'll tell him if i want to, don't fucking command shit from me." he said coldly.
hinata looked up, with red puffy eyes and nose. she stayed on the floor, "get up i said." he demanded.
hinata immediately got up- scared he'd do something again.
"u-um... sa-sasuke-san... i-ive been wanting to ask you something a-actually..."
sasuke stopped in his tracks and waited for what she had to say. "a-about... the buddy system..." she started,
this?
"um... i don't know if-if you know b-but you and i- are buddies..." she said quietly, not wanting to anger him.
this made him smile.
he turned to face her, "what? you think i care?" he said, gripping onto her shoulders.
he had heard everything that shino and hinata talked about. about hinata's feelings about naruto back then, and her feeling about him now.
"i'm happy for him-" she told shino.
sasuke gritted his teeth when he heard that-
he didn't know the reason but he thought it was because she was such an annoying girl. if he hated anything more than loud things, it'd be liars.
he was so frustrated because she lied to shino about sasuke. "did he do anything while i was gone?" shino asked her, silence was heard for a few minutes.
"he's a nice person. i know it. sasuke reminds me of my brother so much so i know he has a soft side." when she said that-
he wanted to know more about her. he wanted to know who she exactly was.
"that's what i love about you nata... you see the good in people. just know that i still don't like your brother. he was the cause of it all so i don't know why you'd befriend him like that." shino spat,
it was true.
neji was the start of it all.
the bullying, the low self esteem, the family loathing and the tears shedding at night. nothing hurts more than being told by a family member to kill them selves.
"but-but i just wanted to know if you knew... if-if you don't want to be my buddy then i'll ask the counselor to chan-" sasuke tightened his grip.
"no." he said, shocking hinata.
