Colts pov

"Mum, can I go now?" I nagged Mum again.
"Colt, would you stop it? You know I've almost finished my bot so I can't look after Jess right now. Go to your room. Actually, go look after Jessie," Pam twisted a bolt on the arm of the bot. I stomped out of the basement, heading upstairs to look for my sister. It was so unfair, Mum promised me to let me go and apply for Supercell when I turned 18 and now it's been a month since my birthday. Anyways, I think Jessie's old enough to look after herself. 12 year olds aren't that little.

Jessie's pov

Because Colt was downstairs, I sneakily went into his room. On his door, he had painted with glittery paint: no girls allowed. I loved the paint but he never let me use it. Now would be my chance. I snatched the pallette from his drawer and ran to my huge bedroom. I swiped my pencils and books off of my desk and placed it down. I breathed heavily. What to draw? I thought of how Penny had left 4 years ago and how she had never come back. I decided to draw us having good times and place it in my jewellery box where I placed all of my treasures.

"Jess?" My big bro asked from the stairs. I stopped and hid it under my pillow before grabbing a book and flipping it open in my hand. The door handle turned. "Whatcha doin'?" Colt asked moodily. I ignored him, staring down into the page of the book. It was upside down but I don't think Colt would notice. I decided to call Scrappy so I whistled a loud and long one. A robotic woof issued from Colt's leg. Scrappy, my helper puppy, pushed through my brother's legs and rubbed my leg with its head. "Get out of my room!" I yelled at him.
"Mum told me to watch you," Colt angrily replied.
"I'm 12, I don't need looking after!" I retorted.
"TELL THAT TO MUM!" Colt shouted.

At dinner, Pam looked extremely pleased with herself. Jessie sat down at the other side of the table, far away from Colt. "What's gotten into your heads?" Pam asked. They didn't reply. "Well, eat up," Pam looked at the two of them, playing with their roast potatoes. When they finished eating, Pam told Jessie, "I finished another bot, Robot 146: I named him Ricochet. He's so strong and I applied him for Supercell. Isn't that great?" Jessie nodded, slightly cheerfully while Colt slammed the table, feeling vexed.
"Mum, you promised me when I turned 18, you'd let me join Supercell and brawl!"
"I know that Colt, but I don't feel safe letting you go out there and fight. Maybe you can go when you're 20," Pam replied.

"Mum, you're so annoying," Colt muttered but loud enough for Jessie and Pam to hear.
"How dare you!" Pam told him off with rage just as Penny had done to her 4 years ago. Jessie squashed herself down in her seat. "Only responsible kids of mine will become brawlers, and you're not one of them. I would even let Jessie go if she was old enough. She's such a good girl. Now, go to your room!" Pam shouted. Colt stormed off and slammed the kitchen door so dust fell on them. Jessie pulled her hair. What if this was a replay of Penny leaving? She thought. "What's up, Sugar?" Pam calmly placed a hand on her shoulder. Jessie shook her head. She took her plate to the sink then went to Colts room.

Knock knock
"Come in if you're not mum,"
Jessie entered the room and sat next to Colt on his bed. "So you wanted to apply at Supercell and become a brawler?" she asked hesitantly, "cos I think you would be good, you have potential." Colt sniffed. "But I was wondering, if you go now, who will I play with?"
Colt sniffed again, "You *don't* need someone to play with,"
"Well then, who will I talk to?"
"Mum, obviously,"
Jessie approached again, "Well you know how Mum is when she's doing her mechanics, what then?" Colt didn't answer.
"When you turned 18, you were just going to pack up and leave me without telling me beforehand?!" Jessie got more annoyed, saying her thoughts aloud. Colt turned her back on her. "Fine, then. Leave. Forget about me. No wonder mum didn't want you to be a brawler. At least she said I had potential," Jessie pitied her brother. When she left the room, Colt turned back, feeling slightly ashamed.

That night, Jessie found it hard to sleep.

Jessie's Pov

"Jess!" I heard Mum calling. "Jess!" I opened my eyes and stretched. I heard her call again so I yanked myself out of bed and went to stroke Scrappy. He yapped a cry of delight and nuzzled his head against me. I lazily opened the door of my bedroom. I was in my old house, and my bedroom was tiny. I furrowed my brows, confused. I hopped down the narrow staircase to find Mummy with her scrap-pack, fighting off a horde of robots, blood splattered on her face, her eyes filled with horror. "Mummy!" I cried in fear. What was happening? Why were we in our old house? Where was Colt? Why were the robots here? My mind was bursting with questions. "Grab my emergency transporter bag from her cupboard and.....ugh," her feet trembled beneath her as a bullet bounced on her as she reloaded her scrap-pack. "....the new robo blueprints and quick tools and...." She cut off again. I didn't know what to do. I couldn't leave her here. She definitely needed help. Where was Colt? I ran upstairs and grabbed the emergency transporter, it was huge and heavy. "Ugh," I struggled to carry it. I hoisted the long handle and wrapped it around my shoulders.

I triple-jumped the stairs to be side-by-side with mummy. "Jess, get out and run!" I dashed to Mum's room again, she had a secret lift to the basement. The lift jangled down as it was old, a rusty grille lift. After reaching the basement, I scrambled for mummy's new robo blueprints. I gently but hurriedly rolled them up and placed them in the bag with the emergency transporter. I then stretched under the metal work bench and pulled out the quick tools. "Here you go Scrappy, hold these," I told him. He opened his belly-space and placed them in. "Quick let's go!" I started up the lift which slowly jangled up.

I ran to the stairs and saw half of the roof had spilt down, causing light beams to spread amongst the scene. "Jess, run for your mama, get help!" Mummy yelled. Tears rolled down my eyes as she elbowed the wall with her terrifying strength. The outside world buzzed a different tune then go what had happened now. But I hadn't noticed and out there, was a whole swarm of robots waiting to invade. "Robot 126, engage!" Mummy said to her armband which had communication to all of her past creations.

Barley zoomed through and helped me with the horde outside, using built-in pistols. (He didn't own a tavern yet or have his poison bottles). "Grab a weapon Jessie," Barley instructed her.
"Um, Scrappy, help," I pointed a finger at the robots coming my way. Scrappy ran and jumped up at the robots, using his sharp, metal teeth to gnaw his way through the wires. They instantly blew up. But the little puppy couldn't get close enough as the robots were smart enough to know what was coming. They simultaneously smacked or shot or punched Scrappy out of the air. He fell a short way from me, excruciatingly damaged. His robo eyes fluttered and he yapped a short cry before switching off. "Oh no!" I cried. I heard mummy yell, "RUN NOW!"
I obeyed, scuttling forwards with the heavy bag on my shoulders and a very injured Scrappy in my arms.

Third person

Jessie ran through and found herself in a thick woods with a rocky terrain. She was beginning to get wary and her eyes showed black. She was on the verge of fainting. She had been walking for 20 minutes by now. "Help!" Every time she called out, she grew weaker. The woods began to thin out and spread to some dry plains, which had dust balls rolling and cacti. She saw two figures. "Help," she barely whispered. She fell to the ground about a metre away. A girl with a hat as a shiba dog turned to look at her. Next to her, stood a boy in a hoodie too big for him, with chameleon eyes and a curly tail. "Help, over there," she pointed the way she had come. A third figure came running, she had purple hair and a yellow bandana around her neck. "Don't worry, we'll help you," the figure said before Jessie fainted.

"Wake up, Jess," Pam called to her, "Waffles are ready!" I woke up panting, I was in my huge bedroom at the end of New Clash City. I heard Colt rushing down the stairs. From then, I knew that was a flashback. And now I remembered who Krevil was. And how he will not stop but destroy Filonikía, and everyone within.

I went downstairs with Scrappy and ate up my waffles. "Hey, bro. Wanna have some fun?" Jessie smiled. She obviously doesn't remember last night, better not tell her, Colt thought. He smiled back, "Sure!"

Jessie's Pov

Later on that year, even though I was young, mum let me apply for Supercell. We also moved house to Brawl Town, a better house, closer to our passion. Colt and I both became brawlers and I knew Krevil would truly be back, so I decided to keep that information until when we really needed it.

Filonikía= the word "Brawl" in Greek. The name of the country that Brawl Town and Retropolis is in.
