"Ggrrrgh, ggrrrgh, Poco," Frank told himself glumly, lumbering over to help his friend. He lay unmoving, with crumbling brick all over him and under him. Mortis, like Poco, began to stir.
Shelly jumped over a small hedge and ran with speed to Mortis' graveyard, holding her shotgun ready. What the heck of trouble is going of there? She ran and saw Frank, advancing towards Poco, unconscious in the rubble of what used to be Mortis' house. She would show him who's boss. She ran to he back of him as Poco sat up, looking dazed, gazing at the sly Shelly and the nervous Frank. When suddenly, Shelly used her super shells and knocked Frank off of his feet. She shot three more times and he disappeared, with his death elixir before Shelly. Poco stumbled up to walk to Shelly as she was reloading her gun. "Hey, what did you do?!"
"What do you mean, what did I do? I just saved your.....," Shelly yelled curses into his face, plainly annoyed not to hear a thank you.
"He was on our side!" Poco retaliated.
"Oh, jeez man. Sorry. At least we're in respawning grounds," Shelly scratched the back of her head."It's Mortis who's the bad guy, I think I kinda....." Poco began his theory, but before he could continue, Shelly had finished off Mortis with a few of her shots. Poco rolled his eyes. As Poco carried on his theory, Frank grumbled towards Shelly, his hammer held high to strike her back to Spawning Grounds. "Hey, stop!" Poco held a boney hand high. Frank faltered, letting his hammer go on the floor, with a bang and shake. "Um, sorry Frank," Shelly apologized. He nodded slowly before taking his hammer and stalking away, to his battered home at the edge of Brawl Town. "God, look at the time," Shelly checked her phone: 12:59. "Better get on home."
"Sure," Poco went to search for his guitar.
"We better leave soon before that purple-haired pig gets back," Shelly followed after him.
"I don't know where my phone is though," Poco checked under the everlasting debris and rubble of Mortis' house.
"Let me call," Shelly dialled on her phone. Ra dalada Ra dalada! It was distant but loud enough. It led them to the graveyard, dark and definitely eerie. A low, thick mist spread itself out like a blanket for the dead. Shelly shuddered.A small black buttoned phone came into view on a grave, with its headpiece that carved: just for you. "Eew, so creepy," Shelly told Poco quietly as he picked up his phone. A mysterious figure pounded towards the brawlers, red hair tidied, and revolvers in hand. "Hey! Shelly! Poco! What you guys doin' out here? And at this time?"
"Ugh. Colt. What are you doing out here? And at this time? I remember Jessie told me you go to sleep at 7:30pm, you child," Shelly mocked him.
"No way," Colt turned at bit pink, but no one saw in the 1am darkness. "About Jessie. I haven't see her all day. Mum is worried sick, she didn't go back to her home for dinner. Roast chicken. My favourite, uuh i mean, her favourite. Definitely. She always knows Mum cooks that for Sunday's. Uh, and also I don't always go to my mum for things. And uh... I definitely don't depend on her for food....," The last part was Colt rambling on about rumours."Um, okay," Poco was very good at hiding his emotions with his boney face. He was feeling annoyed. "Well, you are the sheriff, Colt. It's not our job to find her. It's yours. Double time yours, cos she's your sister," Shelly shrugged.
"No, I... I was just wondering if you could help," Colt said the last part hardly audible.
"Whadaya say?" Poco held his hand near his ear, leaning.
"I need your help," Colt mumbled.
"Did you say [I'm too good, watch and learn] ya chump? Speak up," Shelly wiggled a pitying finger at the redhead. Her and Poco began making an exit from the misty graveyard. "I need your help! Please," He yelled after them, then pleaded. Shelly stopped suddenly. "That's all I needed to hear," Shelly smirked. The Crystal Cave
Nita held Bruce as much as her strength allowed her to. But she was drained and extremely thirsty. Then in front of her she saw a flicker of red light. "Bruce, we made it," she croaked, lugging him towards the exit. But then she was stopped. She heard more than a dozen footsteps and a continuous buzz. A sound of flapping and a murmur of speech. A horde of bots were approaching. "Just when you want it," she loved to use sarcasm. She let go of Bruce and dabbed his wound with her clothes. "You rest up, my bear," she dizzily patted his arm. "Aaaagh, you're still here, you wretched rat," Mike held sticks of dynamite.
"Yea, you got a problem? I was on my way out," Nita stood firmly.
"Well, we will help you. You'll be out, by going to the Spawning point. It's pay back time," Crow cawed, "And we are a bit out of range for the Spawning Grounds so it'll be bye-bye for sure." Crow jeered. Nita readied her hands. A moment went by before Nita noticed and the mouse bots zoomed over to her and caught her by surprise. "No!" She rolled over and over, and hit a rock wall, which cracked right down the middle. "Aakh," she winced, getting up gingerly. Without her knowing, more mouse bots zoomed towards her, along with a bomb, poisonous knives, lasers and rockets, all at once. This would surely be her doom.A few minutes before Nita's doom.
"I think I heard Bruce," Jessie hoped, looking down the cave.
"No, you dodo, that's Scrappy's echo," Leon threw a rock at the wall. It made a deep sound. "It's hollow," he sounded surprised, walking towards the wall. He pressed his head against it, listening. Jessie silenced Scrappy. "Oh, I'm starving," Jessie's stomach gave a painful lurch and grumbled loudly. "Feel like I haven't eaten for ages. Oh no! Mum will be wondering where I am. It's roast dinner tonight," she told herself. Leon ignored her, feeling the wall, and listening for Nita's voice. He could hear rumbling. "What the....." He heard a piercing whistle and then the cave wall cracked right down the middle, almost breaking off. Leon jumped back. Jessie came over, readying her shock rifle. "Ready?" Leon nodded, taking his last shurikens from his pocket, while spitting out his lolly stick which he'd had in for some hours and had melted away. The moment where all the forces were against Nita
The wall crumbled at little more behind Nita and then it broke out. Leon dashed through and pushed a panting and dizzy Nita back through the crack. Then, he shot his shuriken as hard as he could. It chopped through the robot closest to him and killed another. He then jumped and all the forces of the bots and the two Brawlers hit the back wall and through the crack, narrowly missing Jessie and Nita. A small robot dog pounced through and began shooting it's tiny bullets at the speedy mouse bots. A mouse bot charged towards Scrappy, but he leapt out of the way, finishing him off. He didn't often move in combat but absolutely hated mouse bots. Jessie ran in through the crack in the cave wall and shot blindly into the midst of the mini bots. It rebounded three times, knocking the close range brawlers about, angering them so they marched towards her. Dynamike threw many sticks of his dynamite and Crow randomly shot his poison knifes, even hitting some of the new re-enforced purple bots.
The boss robots buzzed angrily. "Go Jessie, take Nita, Bruce and Scrappy with you," Leon said sternly, jumping away from a bullet of a sniper bot.
"No, Leon, you need me here, you have no more shurikens," Jessie replied.
"Just go!" Leon replied. Jessie sighed and went back through the crack as he used his smoke bomb, handling the frying pan Jessie had just passed to him from her back pack. In the swirling smoke, he ran towards the bots. But suddenly, a loud and evil sounding voice, rumbled among the cave."SURRENDER YOURSELF. AND JOIN MY FORCES. I WILL GRANT YOU YOUR HEART'S DESIRE. AS I SEE GREAT POTENTIAL IN YOU. SO YOU HAVE TIME TO THINK, I WILL MAKE MY HELPERS RETREAT. THINK ABOUT IT AND I SHALL RETURN."
Leon pondered. "Who are you?"
"THE NEW MASTER OF THIS WORLD. AND EVERY POTENTIAL BRAWLER SHALL BE AT MY SIDE. COME MY HELPERS."
All the robots began stumbling backwards as if a powerful spell had been struck on them and they all went away. Crow squinted his eyes, menacingly and Dynamike took off his hat to stroke his fluffy canary. They both went away too. Leon scratched the back of his head (through his chameleon hood of course) and went back to see if Nita and Jessie had escaped. The only one there was Bruce. Leon walked over to him, stroking his furry arm, looking at his wounded paw, wrapping another long leaf around until they got back to Brawl Town. Bruce didn't want to go. "Oh, come on," Leon tried shifting his huge shiba form. He sat still. "We'll go back to Nita?" He lumbered upwards and followed the exhausted Leon out of the cave.
