College Life

Its the year 2000, Lena is now eighteen years old and a freshman at MIT. She moved away with her father and moved from Oakland months later after Erik was taken away that night. She thinks about him all the time and wondered what happened to him.

Her father told her he mostly went into the foster system. He wished if he could take him and raised him, but it was too late before the police grabbed him and took him out.
Lena kept Erik's secret and told no one even her father that he was a prince of Wakanda.

She is unpacking her last box in her dorm room and her things dropped on the floor. She picks everything up until she sees a picture. The picture was her and Erik when they were kids and Lena smiled holding the heart necklace Erik gave her.

She finishes unpacking and calls her father. "Hey dad.. I got here safe and I'm unpacking my last box"
"That's good sweetie I'm glad you are settled in..so how do you like it so far?"
"It's great dad..how are you and Sandra doing?"
"We are doing good.. I'm glad you got there safe"

Charles met Sandra five years ago at a coffee shop in San Jose after him and Lena moved from Oakland. A year later after that, he married her and bought a new home with her. Lena loved Sandra and she was just like her mother and her dad was happy that he found someone to love again.

"Dad I have to go and get my classes straight before tomorrow I'll talk to you soon I love you.. give Sandra a kiss for me"
"I will.. I love you too"

After hanging up her cellphone, Lena was feeling a little homesick moving across the country, but she was grown now and it was time to do her and get her degree. She walks to the admissions office and has her class schedule for the semester.

The next day her first class started out of three classes. While she finds a seat and class about to start in a few minutes, she bumps into someone when she turns around to sit.

"Oh I'm sorry my bad.."
"It's okay that's my fault"
They both stare at each other for second like time stood still and the guy finally speaks to Lena.

"Hi..my name is Erik"
"Hi I'm Lena"
"Wait a minute did you say Lena?"
"Yea why you ask?"
"Is your last name Davis? I knew a girl named Lena Davis from Oakland?"
"Yea..oh my God..Erik?!"

As she covers her mouth with her hands, she gives him a tight hug
"I can't believe its you.. are going to school here too?"
"I am.. I just signed up this morning"
"It has been eight years since I've seen you after.."
"Yea..I know how about we talk after class and go somewhere to catch up"
"Sounds good"

After class, she waits for Erik to get his things and walks with her outside the campus
"What time do you finish your classes Lena?"
"I'll be done around four this afternoon"
Okay I'll be finished around five so how bout we meet up at the soul food restaurant down the street around seven..cool?"
"Cool with me I'll see you there"
Lena hugs him again and walks away

After all these years, fate has put her and Erik back together. Later that night she gets ready to go out. Her roommate and friend Michelle helps her pick out an outfit to wear.

"Listen Lena you've known Erik since you were kids, but you have to look sexy too it's a date!"
"For what Chelle it's Erik"
"Girl are you blind.. have you really looked at Erik.. he is fine and looks like he doesn't have a girlfriend..I've never seen him with one yet.. you betta grab him before someone else does"
