CHERISE'S POV
"DARION," I scream at my brother charging into his room. "You broke the strap on my new JD bag." I walk up to his bed and rip the covers right of him. "The bag I specifically said that you could not use." He is lying there in just his boxers and I cringe as the smell of the room finally hits me. Yes he keeps his room tidy but it's like there is an invisible smell that just sits in his room.
"Jeez, calm down, " he whines at me. Down get your weave in a knot." He sits up on the bed rubbing his eyes and starts cracking his knuckles. Impulsively I start cracking mine, before remembering that I am fuming at him.
He gets up and looks around his room before walking towards his closet. He opens it up and and pushes aside a pile of perfectly folded clothes. I need to remember to get him to tidy my wardrobe as well.
He pulls out a bag and throws it at me. "I knew you would yell at me so I got you another one," he says to me, his voice thick with sleep.
"Yeah whatever, " I say. "The one I had before was much nicer." I lie to him. The one he just gave me was the limited edition one but I wasn't about to thank him for anything.
He flips me of with both hands and I laugh at him before walking out his room. I grab my P.E kit of my bed and throw them into the new bag. I look around and my eyes rest upon the new shoe box I got last week. I pull out my Retro Jordan 13's. I admire the orange and black contrast. Wednesday had finally come and I was finally able to show off my new kicks.
I run out the house and jump in the car just as my mum is switching on the engine.
"You lucky you made it in time girl. I would have happily left your ass to walk the whole way." my mum says as I throw my kit in the back seat. I am about to roll my eyes before I catch myself. My mum would slap me if she saw me doing that right next to her.
"Good save," she says before laughing at me. "Smart choice, not doing that so close to me."I laugh at her and look out the window thinking about the events of yesterday. I close my eyes and picture Levi's face. Yeah he's obviously fit but he couldn't possibly feel the same way about me.
. . .
After the first two lessons of the day, I make my way downstairs looking at my phone. Kymberli, Zain and Jazzmyne are waiting for me on the bottom floor. I need to hurry and make my way over there the line for the canteen is going to be unbelievable if I don't hurry. Why did Geography have to be all the way on the top floor. Before I can react I turn around a corner of the flight of stairs and crash straight into someone.
JAY-P'S POV
"Bro slow down, it ain't a race," I hear Levi laughing at me from behind. I laugh back at him and continue to sprint up the stairs.
I turn around and face him saying, "If you were winning right now you wouldn't be saying that though would you." I turn around and run around the next corner at the landing of the stair running straight into this girl.
"Damn," rubbing my head as I slowly sit up. That was a really big crash, probably because like an idiot I was running up the stairs three at a time. I look around and see a girl sprawled on foot of the stairs. I jump up and try to salvage the situation, holding out my hand to her I help her up and grab her phone from the floor. It slid a few feet away. I hold my breath and examine the screen, praying that there are no cracks in it.
"Shit, " I mumble as I spot a crack running across one of the corners of the phone. "I'm sorry, I'll pay for a new screen or something." I run my hands through my hair and look at her for the first time.
"Don't worry about it," she laughs smiling at me. "It's an old crack." She gently takes the phone out of my hand and for some reason it sends a shiver down my spine.
