CHERISE'S POV

I rush down the stairs and run to the front door. Reaching for the key on the hook I push it into the lock and turn the key. I pull the door open excitedly and my face instantly falls when I see who is standing behind the door. Darion.

"Why the fuck you smiling so much." he says after closing the door behind him. I roll my eyes and scoff at his bluntness.

"Nice to see you too," I mutter underneath my breath. Shit, I can't tell Darion about my date with Jay-Pharell. He would never let me go. I am broken out of my thoughts when another knock sounds through the oak wood of the door.

Darion gives me a puzzled look and says, "Are you expecting someone." He pulls open the door and looks confused for a bit as his eyes and mine land on Jay-Pharell. My eyes wander down his body. He is wearing a plain black long sleeve shirt that defines his abs and biceps. He has paired it with some dark wash straight leg jeans and a pair of black uptempos. He looks lush.

I am pulled out of my appreciation for his good look when Darion says to him aggressively, "Can I help you buddy." I laugh involuntarily at the way he said 'buddy' so sarcastically. Jay gives me one of his gorgeous smiles and I smile back at him.

"Sup man, I'm here to pick up Cherise. I'm Jay-Pharell." Jay says it calmly even though he can see Darion has tensed up. He extends his arm towards my brother and Darion eyes him up and down before taking his hand and giving it a firm handshake.

"Darion," he says shortly. He looks at me out the corner of his eye and quickly looks away when he catches me looking back. But he's not quick enough, I saw the look he gave me. He is telling me to be careful around Jay-P. He is the first guy that I have been out with since it all happened.

I know that he is just looking out for me since it's just the two of us left. He cares. "A'ight, have fun then. Have her back by 11.00. It's still a school night." He gives Jay one more glance before pulling me in to give me a hug.

"Stay safe." he whispers to me before moving aside a strand of my straightened hair off my face. He gives me a small smile before climbing up the stairs.

Jay doesn't say anything as he leads me to his car. He waits for me to get in before walking round the car to the drivers side. We drive in silence for a while before Jay breaks the silence.

"Your brother is nice. I can tell he takes care off you." His eyes stay on the road but a small smile plays on his lips. Watching his face I return his smile. I know that he understands why my brother is like this.

Taking one of his hands off the steering wheel he holds it out to me and I take it. I rest our joined hands on my lap and we hold hands there until we pull into a small car park. As I get out the car I look around at the surroundings of the place that Jay brought us to. It is a cute cosy little place made out of mostly oakwood. Jay pushes open the door before me and holds it open for me, I give him another small smile and walk into the restaurant.

The theme of the restaurant's interior consists of mainly dark colours. Crimsons, scarlets, wines, burgundys, plums. But instead of giving it a dark and gothic atmosphere it gives off more of a relaxed and romantic feel. After looking around the small space my eyes fall back on Jay and I realise that we are still standing in front of the entrance.

"You ready," he says to me quietly with the faintest of smirks on his face. I roll my eyes subtly and nod my head. He signals to one of the members of staff and they lead us to a booth in the corner of the room. The seats are put in a curve so that the cushioned bench is joined in the middle of the corner.

The waiter takes our drinking order he leaves and says that someone else will be sent over to take our order in ten minutes. I take a seat and Jay-P sits on the opposite side of the table so that we have the rest of the bench in between us.
