River immediately gasped at the sight, obviously rushing to his side. Her hands glowed a dim white until the same man tapped her on the shoulder. He handed her a note saying, "Leave him. He is not harmed. I do not know if you are like Royal Assassin Ray, from the looks of it you are not. So leave him."
"Well, sir, I am actually of some caliber to Ray, for I am Sun's girlfriend." She lied profoundly. He handed her another note,
"Then if you loved him you would give him this privacy. I know he never gets any, he needs some now."
"Who are you?" The man looked at her and gave her a second. He wrote another note,
"Interesting. He kept his memories to himself? Probably for the best." A man kicked down the doors, he was in grey leather armor and blue pants. His hair was as black as the night. He wore a white half-mask covering the left side of his face. The green man bowed in his presence. "You are not his girlfriend, for he rejects any company. Care to lie some more?" he said.
"W-Who are you people?"
"Well, I am Dusk. This is my star soldier. I keep names to myself except for mine."
"How to you know Sun's name? Almost no-one knows it."
"When light turns to darkness, what is happening to do that?" She assumed he meant day cycles, as there was Sun, Moon, and Dusk. Then it clicked in her mind.
"Dusk happens. When darkness turns to light, twilight happens. Where is Twilight?"
"Finally. Someone half-intelligent as Sun or Moon. Twilight actually never existed. She will soon, I believe. But honestly, you should leave Sun to himself right now. If we were to kill him we would have done it in the past and you would already be dead." River realized he kept the same facial expression as Sun. But what was behind that white half-mask?
"Where is Raymond?"
"Soldier?" The green man wrote and note and handed it to Dusk.
"Oh. He is dead." River gasped. "He did not listen. It is what he gets for never giving Sun a second of privacy I guess."
"How do you know so much, Dusk?" Dusk looked at his soldier,
"Just leave. As much as I oppose murder, me or my soldier here can kill you within seconds. No matter how much magic or angels reviving you or whatever." River slowly walked out of the inn, and ran when she saw Raymond's corpse. She read the note on his right eye, "Never gave Sun privacy. This is why you leave people to themselves sometimes. Raymond Allegory, R.I.P." How does he know Raymond's last name? she thought. She took the dagger out of his left eye, was hardly disgusted at the sights. River's eyes and hands glowed white and she restored Raymond almost completely, except for his eye. She put and eye patch over it and sat next to him. I wonder what is happening to Sun....
Dusk stood over the passed out Sun, and said, "How long will he be out?" The green man spoke,
"Not much longer." About a minute after, Sun stood up at stared Dusk in his eyes.
"These lies are leading me astray...." He said.
"But which are lies and which are truths?" Dusk said. The green man looked at both of their facial expressions, realizing they were the exact same.
"I do not know."
"Through the battles we did wrong, we deserve the written pledge."
"I do not want to live this destiny any longer."
"Nobody does."
"It goes on endlessly..."
"The Dark Renegade saw what you saw. Moon took that title when I killed the original one. Also, Raymond was punished for invading your privacy. River also lied."
"Thank you, Enigmatic Genius. I needed to know this. I will now take it under my own truths and see if it makes sense to me." Dusk nodded and he and his soldier vanished into white ash. Sun walked out of the inn, only to have a worried River tackle him to the wall with a hug worthy of suffocation. Sun did not hug back and as soon as she let go he walked to the Castle, acting as if it never happened. Raymond stood up and wondered with River.
As soon as Sun sat crossed-legged on his floor, River and Raymond broke the door open. They both tried talking at the same time, only making gibberish. Sun took out his dominoes while they were trying to sort their words. He stood up and placed the thousand dice. The two stopped talking altogether to watch Sun's dominoes fall. They created a two-dimension portrait of himself with his eyes closed. "One at a time." Raymond slowly backed out of the room. "Now, liar, what is it you wish to say?"
"Um, you know about that? It was one lie..."
"Truth is the most important thing in this world, even one lie can end horribly. I despise lying more than I do arrogance."
"Sorry..."
"What do you want to tell me?"
"Two things. One is what did Dusk show you?"
"Nothing of your concern. Two?"
"Two would be an annoyance to you. Why, exactly, do you oppose relationships so much?"
"The man who taught me wisdom, who died through his strife, could not be replaced. He was simply the closest thing to a god. Yet, his wife left him for no reason and made him weaker. I let someone leave me and it killed him. I do not need companionship to fill me. I have done just fine alone."
"But you say you are not proud of your achievements?"
"Because all of my achievements are not so. The only thing which can sate someone as me is changing the entire world. It is difficult when the entire world works against it." Sun walked out of the room, and dropped the silver locket on his way out.
