Recap: Avni's secret feelings for Neil.

Avni was in the car, "Ali tomorrow is the court hearing and Neil is a total mess. He won't be able to handle the situation." She was looking out of the car window angrily, he knows how to cheer her up, but he wasn't in the mood.

"Avni that's not your problem. What he is capable or not, who helps and who don't? It's none of your business." Ali didn't tried to hide his sarcasm or whatever he was feeling, it was annoying Avni even more his ignorance made her fuming in anger, she made a fist in hit him in his side.

"Ouch!" Ali shouts loudly, "Avni! You stupid girl, I hope Neil will never forget to say his opinion on you! You really need a reality check, you aren't the favourite of everyone." He huffs and concentrates again on the street.

Neil was waiting outside the building, Shruthi was ready to give him a lift, but he didn't liked the idea to get help from her, he was scared if Avni finds out then how would she react. I'm truly silly! Just a mad guy, who has nothing better to do than thinking of a selfish woman. I'm sure she is already home sleeping in her bed and look at me, fool, waiting for a cab. I should have taken the opportunity for the lift.

It was a cold night and the clouds thicken, a thunder and a man standing in rain, "I hate myself." He was looking around the streets were filled with cars, but no cab, he decided to walk his way back home, it wasn't much far from the advocate building, "better than staying in the rain, is walking through it." There is always a moment you talk to yourself, especially when there is no one to talk with.

Avni was at home and laying on her bed, perfectly covered under the duvet, she smiles into her sleep while Neil reached home drenched in rain.

It was the next morning and they all reached at the court, they all looked at Neil and his red eyes as well as red nose.

"Are you okay?" Shruthi asked him, he wasn't looking good not even slightest bit better than yesterday, when he started to vomit.

Avni made a step back, "yuck don't sneeze or vomit on me, just stay away."

They all looked at her, "don't you have a little bit of sympathy for him?"

Avni shook her head, "no, and you shouldn't either." She shivers thinking of the bacterial infection she could gain because of him.

Shruthi went inside the courtroom, they followed her and sat on the seats behind. One by one was called to give a statement, "Yaar you are okay haan?" Ali checked on Neil, who wasn't in his sense.

"Neil we might not need your statement, go home and take rest, we can postpone it."

Neil shook his head, "no, I will give my statement." His voice was low and most of the words were murmured.

Avni checked on Neil's forehead, "man you have high fever. There is no need of a sick police officer in a court, go home Ali is right. Your statement can be given later or won't be needed." They insisted and sent him back home, where he was alone all the time, till.

*Ding Dong*

Neil with heavy legs and a pounding head he opens the door to his surprise Avni was standing in front of him.

"Oh no I'm hallucinating, right?" He talked to himself after slapping his cheek.

"Neil I have soup for you, here." She gave him the food, "heat it up and get well soon."

Neil felt a cold shudder, "no, you have poisoned it. I'm sure you want to kill me." He shook his head and was about to close the door, but Avni was stronger, she pushes him and he falls backwards on the ground.

Avni shook her head, she stepped over him and entered the house, "where is the kitchen?" She asked not really looking at him.

"Left." He said closing the door with his foot, he took the help of the wall and stood up, "Avni why?"

Avni frowns, "what why? Can't I come and help a colleague to prove him that I'm not selfish?"

Neil made a face, "oh really, just give me the poison I will take it myself and the world will think it was a suicide case. No one will raise the finger on you."

Avni lifts an eyebrow, "what the hell is your problem, why would I kill you? Don't you think I have better things to do then planning your murder?" She took a pot and filled it with the soup, "I will heat it and then you can have it. Don't worry there is no poison in the food and neither I will stay longer than necessary. Just wanted to inform you that there is no statement needed as the judge made his decisions. I was the key witness so all was done."

Neil took a deep breath. Selfish... "yes, all done by you. You are such a brave woman." He claps into his hands with sarcasm, "no one will forget your bravery, nation Hero."

Avni looked around, "are you talking to me?" She points with the finger on herself, "maybe I should tell you, you know what, leave it. Here is your soup drink and die." She pushes him and left his place.

"What happened now?" He was scratching his back head, "what I missed?"
