She stared at the coins in her hand, three fit perfectly in her palm, the other two where nothing more then peddles. She frowned, then looked at the man who's parcel he held under her arm. He looked expectantly at her, arms crossed and foot tapping impatiently. She frowned and turned her palm to deposit the money back in it's pouch.

"I was informed I would be paid ten Adeins silver." she said, holding out the man's pouch with a scowl.

"I was informed my package would be delivered on time." The gruff man turned his head and spat on the dirt packed ground. "You're a day late."He as well dressed, as any man that was head of a Guild should be. Heavy boots, straps shining in the morning light. His pants were of a fine woven thread that looked sturdy, yet not uncomfortable in the least. A highcollar shirt, the buttons shown just like the buckles on his boots. His blue eyes deeply contrasted his olive skin and reddish brown hair.

The rider frowned, then her eyes narrowed. "There was a landslide through the mountains, half the forest is flooded." She threw the coins at his feet. "I'll be leaving with this parcel. I'm sure Dellini's markets would be the perfect place for the exchange."

She whistled and her horse came trotting up to her. The woman was short in stature, petite, but stout. She wore men's bloomers, cinched at the knees with heavy brown deer hide boots. Her hands were gloved with thinner deer skin gloves that reached her forearms. She had belts around her waist, and a dark brown corset made of elk hide and elk leather laces. Hiding most of her form was the distinguishing red cloak that her kind wore. Couriers from the Blue Kingdom, under her Grace, Lady Sue Hniur of the Land of Blue.

Few couriers were thing young, fewer were females.

The woman in red looked down at her furious 'customer' righted the horse's direction and strode out the farm yard. "A six day journey... Wasted." she mumbled when she was well out of earshot of him. "Twelve copper... What type of idiot... does he take me for."

She glanced back and heard them long before she actually saw them. Dogs baying and heavy footfalls of horses. Many horses. She slid the package into her saddle back and latched it closed. She snapped the reins and clicked her tongue. The horse turned and ran down the forested path they had just come from, deeper into the forest and to the mountains.

The bloodhounds, and elk hounds followed her, weaving easily through the narrow gaps of the trees but staying some feet behind her. She urged her steed down the step hills, rocky mounts and zigzags of the forest. Her red cloak fluttered and caught the wind, giving the illusion of a devil in flight. She grinned.
