Family Day. It was possibly the most overrated social event of the year. Auradon Prep may be a boarding school but most students visited their families on weekends and vacations. In all honesty, Family Day was more for the parents than the students.
Felicity and Riley quickly got to the courtyard, excited to see her parents and siblings. Their friends along with their families were already present. Elise was busy talking with Erica's older sister Melody, Emma's older sister Luna, and Alistair's older sister Allison. "Where are Jay, Evie, Mal, and Carlos?"
She was about to answer when she saw her family. "Momma! Daddy!"Lis ran over to her mom and dad, hugging them tightly. Her and her parents, especially her mother, had a very close relationship since Elise was in lessons 24/7.
"Hello my precious flower,"Rapunzel smiled warmly, holding her daughter close.
"What am I? Locked in a tower?"Riley pouted.
Eugene chuckled. "Of course not!" He tousled his son's hair.
"Hi dad,"Rye patted his back.
Their mom wrapped her arms around her two children. "How have you both been? I haven't heard anything from you two in a while."
"We've been busy,"Felicity excused. "Ben's had me monitoring the new kids."
"Oh, right!"Elise came over with Arianna and Max. "How is that going?"
"Great, actually. A few bumps in the road but I think it's going well,"Lis explained. "They're good kids... they've progressed a lot since they got here."
Ari raised an eyebrow while Max beamed enthusiastically. "Where's Jay?"
"Who?"Eugene questioned, glancing down at his youngest son.
That's when Lonnie came over to them. "Time for your performance?"
"Yeah,"Riley kissed her cheek. "Wish me luck?"
Lis giggled. "You'll be fine."
Lonnie nodded. "Ok." She took a deep breath and went over to Ben.
"How did that happen?"Elise nudged her brother's arm. "You've been fawning over her since you two were in diapers."
"Felicity may not have helped me out,"Riley muttered while his sistered beamed with glee.
