RECAP

Fairy Godmother approached the bell jar and hugged both Adam and Belle before gesturing for Adam to lean down so she could remove the crown. Ben kneeled on the steps leading up to the platform so Fairy Godmother could transfer the crown to his head. "Do you solemnly swear to govern the peoples of Auradon with justice and mercy for as long as you shall reign?"

"I do,"Ben said with his typical sweet smile.

Fairy Godmother took the wand from Belle and stood before him. "Then it is my pleasure and my joy to bless our-" The wand was snatched from her grip and everyone gasped. Jane...

Jane had grabbed the wand and a bolt of magic that greatly resembled lightning shot out of the wand and through the window. The girl shook uncontrollably as a result of the wand's magic being too much for her, an inexperienced teenage girl, to handle. Everyone flinched in fear and stepped back, not knowing what Jane could do.

"Child, what are you doing!"Fairy Godmother shrieked. It was very much unlike Jane to not listen to her mother, though it could be somewhat understandable seeing as the headmistress coddled her daughter to no end.

"If you won't make me beautiful, I'll just do it myself!"Jane shouted. "Bibbidi-bobbidi-boo!" Sparks were flying everywhere as Jane twisted and twirled.

Adam tried to calm everyone and keep them safe by yelling "Everyone, take cover." Everybody immediately got as far back as they could, shielding each other.

Then, Mal pushed forward away from Felicity and her family since Eugene and Riley were keeping Mal back with Lis. "Mal! No!" The purple-haired girl proceeded to take hold of the wand, having wrestled it from Jane's grip. She held it in front of her and it seemed to make everyone's fear rise since a VK was now in possession of the wand.

"Mal, give me the wand,"Ben requested cautiously, holding out his hand.

"Stand back!"Mal ordered.

"It's ok,"he tried to assure her.

"I told you so,"Audrey mocked before squealing as Mal pointed the wand at her. She was pulled back by her parents and glared out by some of the guests since her quip had escalated the situation.

Behind Mal, the other VK's charged in which shocked Felicity. "Revenge time."

"Jay?"Lis murmured, causing her boyfriend to look back at her with guilty eyes. He didn't want to do this, that much she could tell.

"You don't have to do this."

"We have no choice, Ben!"Mal reasoned. "Our parents-"

"Your parents made their choice,"Felicity removed herself from her family's protection and slowly walked forward. She went up to stand beside Ben, staring at her boyfriend and new-found friends sympathetically. "Now you need to make yours."

Everyone was waiting in fear and interest to hear what she would say. Mal tried to stay firm but it was clear her wall of determination was falling. "I think... I think I want to be good."

"You are good,"Ben pleaded.

Lis gave them an assuring expression. "All of you are."

"How do you know that?"Mal cried.

"Because we're listening to our hearts,"Ben responded for the both of them.

Mal hesitated. "I want to listen to my heart too." She spun around to look at her friends. "And my heart is telling me that we are not our parents."

She looked at Jay, "I mean, stealing things doesn't make you happy. Tourney and spending time with Lis makes you happy." Jay grinned as Felicity went to him and hugged his waist, her smile just as big. "And you, scratching Dude's belly makes you happy, who would've thought?" Carlos chuckled at the mention of his new best friend. "And Evie, you do not need to play dumb to get a guy. You are so smart." The two friends shared a teary-eyed smile. "And I don't want to take over the world with evil, it doesn't make me happy. I want to go to school... and be with Ben." She turned to Ben and lifted up the finger where his ring sat. "Because Ben makes me really happy." Then back to her friends. "Us being friends makes me really happy, not destroying things." After a second of thought, Mal put her hand out. "I choose good, you guys."
