Ember was fast asleep having dreams about marshmallows and the band mother mother when dusk throttled her away.
"Ember!!! Your boyfriend here!!" She yelled excitedly!
Ember groan and look up confused but also angers. "Damn Dusk why's you do that I was having nice dream- wait boyfriend here?" She suddenly snapped out of tired and saw melman chuckling above her.
Ember gasped and blushed super hard "omg I'm so sorry I hope you weren't wait too long!" She said embarrass.
"No no it's fine" he said in his soft voice. His little smile always make ember heart flutter!
"Umm.. Do you need anything?" Ember asked after a long silence.
Melman fumbled around as he trie to remember what he came over there to ask, "o! Uhm! I was going to ask u if you would like to come have brunch with my friends from New York!"
Ember gasped! What honour! "I'd love to Melman! Just let me get ready lol!" She said sheepishly and got up and went over dusk, "hey dusk now is time to make makeover!" She whispered, and dusk face lit up so much!
"On it!" Dusk said and got to work.

"Oo I love it!" Ember said. "It's fun do they now I like a good time but also fiece so they now not to mess with me! Thanks dusk!" She said and gave her an awkward hug. It's not really easy for an okapis to hug a small meerkat.
"No problem also I'm go with you with Mort and Julian!" Dusk said and ember gasp again.
"Are they both going to be jealous!?" Ember said concerned and dusk brushed it off by shrug. "I'm sure they'll be fine!"
Ember decided to let dusk fight her own battles and walked over to melman who went :o when he saw her. "Wow you look beauotiful!" He said flabagastid.
Ember blushed and hid her gaze with her fringe.. "thank you... I just hope your friends like it too."
"They'll love it. And they'll love you too." He said and smooched embers forehead making her blush even more!
"Otp hehe xD!!" Dusk squealed begins them.
They all went over to the lake again and you saw a zebra, a hippo, and a lion who was playing with a fluffy looking leopard? (Possible Alex the lion fanfic? X33) the lion looked up and yelled out "heyy melman!" Waving.
Melman smiled, "hey Alex!" He said and walked over to the group. You walked out from behind him and they all looked at you awaiting your introduction.
"Guys this is Ember my girlfriend!" He said happily.
They all said hi, although the hippo girl was hesitant.
"Ember this are my good friends Alex the lion, Marty the zebra, and Gloria the hippo!" Melman said. "And sorry I don't think i Cauthen your name miss?" Melman said looking at the leopard.
"Oh sorry this is my new girlfriend Linda! She's a snow leopard~" Alex said grabbing the leopard by the waist making her giggle.
"Nice to meet you Melman, and you Ember." Kinda said nicely. She seems nice Ember thought.
"And it's nice to meet you too. It's nice to meet all of you." Ember finally said blushing shyly.
"I like your makeup by the way!" Linda said.
"Thanks my friend did it for me! " ember said slowly gaining confidence.
"Right what is for food!" A loud voice called out. Ah Julian.
Julian was walking towards the group with Mort Dusk and Maurice.
A few people groaned when they heard him talk. Ember guessed they knew Julian longer rthan her.
Alex and Marty went off and came back with plates and plates full of food.
Omg there was plate of pineapple!! Ember grabbed that hungrily and started eating. Melman chuckled at that while eat sandwich.
Alex was eating sushi
Marty was eat mangos
And Gloria was.. staring at ember??
Ember almost choked on her pineapple as she realised Gloria was staring. Everyone else was busy endulging in food to notice your distressed glances. What was she to do??
She just decided to try and ignore it and carried on eating. Melman looked down at ember finally and saw she was super tense, "hey everything alright? You're so quite." Ember looked st him with worried face but she didn't want to ruin the brunch so she just smiled, "no I'm fine!"
Melman shutgged. The rest of the group made some small talk an ember joined in every now and then but was quiet quite. Gloria stopped staring occasionally to talk but she really had something against ember!
After brunch ember decided to take a walk alone. No one notice Becuase they were all hugging and ember sighed. That was awkward!! "What did I do to annoy her??" Ember whispered.
"Oh I don't know," a deep feminine voice drawled out, "maybe from stealing my man?"
Ember gasped and jumped around to face the mysterious stranger.
"Gloria!!" Ember said shocked. She huffed out trying to calm her nerves but she was just so confuse!! "Y-your man?" She asked confused and concern
"Yes you bitch I had him first and I'll have him last!" Gloria growled pushing ember back with her judging finger.
"Is this why you were stare at me?" Ember asked a little more calmly now.
"Yeah your hoe! You better stay away from Melman Becuase I'm coming for him and I don't want you to get hurt! But if you don't go I might have use force." Hippo said angrily.
Ember chuckled quietly, "you don't want to mess with me."
Gloria smirked and crossed her arms, "you think you're touch huh? Well whatever Melman loves me not you. You're just a rebound!"
Ember got slightly angry at this and felt herself getting hotter and hotter, and her fringe started to glow slightly and make spark noises. "Why would Melman love a cheater like you?!"
They got closer to each other with gritted teeth like they weee going to fight when melmsn came over!! "Oh hey guys what's going on?" He said oblivious o what was happening.
"Oh nothing Melman~ just bonding with your new girlfriend!" Gloria winked making melman smile uncomfortably. "Uhm great!" Melman replied, "you want to go hang out for a bit longer, Ember?" Melman asked cheerfully. "Yeah.. sure.." ember replied and started walking away with Melman. But looked behind her shoulder to see Gloria giving her a scheming death glare.
