"Agust D, you're up in fifteen seconds." I heard through my earpiece as the voice counted down.Feeling my platform rise and the start of Tony Montana, made my body ignite in the adrenaline of being on a stage.
I rapped as I moved down the stage, the crowd roaring.
This was my life. I was happy.
Or was I?
I exited the stage, another great performance. I entered the dressing room and pulled off my bandana before the makeup artists began taking off the products that caked my skin.
"Yoongi-ah, you have an interview with Eric Nam next week in the afternoon." My manager said, I rolled my eyes in the mirror. "Sorry, Agust D-ah." He corrected himself.
"Thank you, Sejin-ah." I replied simply, standing from the chair. "Is the car here?"
Sejin, my manager, nodded before I put on my mask and exited the room.
I was then—unfortunately—met with six familiar faces.
My fellow label artists; BTS, were awaiting the dressing room. Originally, I was given the option to debut with them years ago, but I declined.
I wasn't going to be a stuck up idol. I wasn't going dance, and look pretty, and act like I cared, when I didn't.
They bowed to greet me; a common act of respect between those in Korea.
I didn't bow back as I walked past them; having no respect for the six sell-outs that stood before me.
"Jeez he's such an asshole." One of them murmured. I stopped in my tracks, turning to face the culprit.
"Excuse me?" I asked. I watched him cross his arms in defiance, I knew who he was; Kim Seokjin.
"You heard me." He replied. I then shove him against the wall.
It was in a fit of annoyance, no matter if he was my elder—I'd been in this game a lot longer than he'd been.
I'd done more.
I'd worked harder.
He was just a pretty face.
"Woah woah, break it up!" Their leader, RM, yelled as a few of the other members pulled me from where I was pinning Seokjin against the wall.
I shook the three boys who were holding me back, off before turning and making my way from the building.
Stupid hot-headed idols.
I quickly got into the backseat of the car before it pulled away.
As I watched the traffic around me, I couldn't help but feel sad, unworthy.
How did it come down this? I was the industry's biggest rapper at the moment and I was sad.
Or maybe I was just lonely—no way.
Agust D does not, get lonely.
I got out of the car once the it had arrived at the dorms and pulled out the fob for entry before heading into the building.
I entered my apartment before throwing myself on the couch and looking out the window.
The sunset over Seoul did nothing but make me feel more empty. 'How come the moon has the stars? And the sun has the clouds?' I thought to myself.
'What do I have?'
I felt a wet nose against my arm, I looked to see my best friend.
Min Holly.
That's who I had.
My fingers trailed their way through Holly's curly locks before I sighed contently.
'You're all I need.'
Nothing, and nobody else.

end.
