Itachi's POV:
Back in the Palace...
I was so mad that Chika wasn't in the house when we were finished talking with Hana. It annoyed me to no end. I don't know where she went. Sasuke and I had nothing else to do but leave. That was so irritating. I barely even got to see Chika. I didn't get a chance to talk to her properly. But I am glad that I was able to talk to Hana. The only way that I could figure out how Chika will become a royal is if Hana becomes one. But Hana and her husband have done nothing to deserve a title. The only way for them to gain a title is if they donate a lot of money to my Father. It will make them look supportive of his reign. This will no doubt please him and if the money quantity is big enough, he will suspect that they are people of importance. But he will figure out that they have no title and he will feel obliged to give them one since he will see that they are deemed one. But of course, they are poor and cannot afford to give such money. So, my plan is to give our Father a lot of Sasuke's and my money, pretending that it is from Daichi and Hana Inoue.
I told Hana a lie so that she wouldn't question why the Emperor would bestow them a title when he does. I said that the Emperor has been very pleased with all of the work her and her sisters have done as maids in the palace throughout the years. I told her that someday soon, the Emperor will hand them a title as appreciation of the family's dedication to the Empire. She believed me even though what I was saying was nonsense. It is just very easy to lie to people when you are their superior. They look up to you and believe every word you say. I am glad to hold so much power as a Crown Prince sometimes. I probably wouldn't have been able to do this if I didn't have this title. Now, all that has to happen is for my Father to receive the donation and hold a meeting with us and other royals to discuss the gift and what should be done to Hana and Daichi Inoue as a result. I know it should work out because he will not realise Chika's connection with Hana because they both have different surnames since Hana married Daichi. My Father will not realise that when he gives a title to Hana, that he is in fact giving a title to Chika as well.
Later that day...
We were all having dinner together at the table when my Father spoke up. "You wouldn't guess what I received today from a couple in this area" my Father said making Sasuke and I look up at him. I know exactly where this is going.
"What Father?" Sasuke asked casually. I inwardly smirked. He is good at acting cool when he wants to.
"I received a large sum of money as support. I was quite shocked I must say. You don't get that type of money from anyone" my Father said. I kept my emotionless mask on so to act normal.
"Who did you receive it from?" I asked in a monotone voice. I saw Sasuke glance at me and back to our Father.
"Well, their names are Daichi Inoue and Hana Inoue. It doesn't quite make sense. They do not have a title" he said looking confused. Perfect.
"They don't?" I asked making myself sound slightly bored. My Father shook his head.
"They do not" he said frowning as he thought.
"Well, how much are we talking about, Fugaku?" my Mother asked.
"As much as Itachi's allowance" my Father said making my Mother spit out the drink she had in her mouth. Sasuke and I really had to supress a smile as we looked down at our food.
Sasuke's POV:
"H-H-How much?" my Mother spluttered. Her maid came running over to assist in cleaning up the mess my Mother maid. I tried my best not to snigger. This was just too funny. I've never tricked my parents like this. It is hilarious!
"You heard me" my Father said and sighed. "I just can't get over that they do not have a title. I think I should give them one. They would be perfect to be in royalty with us. If they are that supportive of me, I want them fully on my side. You can never have too many powerful friends" he said seriously. Yes! This is working!
