Betty's POV
"Are you sure you can't just stay in Riverdale?" I ask Sweet Pea and Fangs. They shake their heads. "We have to live with a guardian." Fangs says. Slurpe got shot when he was on a mission for the Serpents. We had his funeral and all cried because we were so close to him. We miss him so much.
"I don't want Sweets and Fangs to leave." I sigh to Jug. "I know, but they'll be back soon. Dad said that he is going to adopt them since he was friends with Slurpe." Jug says. I squeal and hug him. "How long will it take?" I ask. He thinks about it. "Like 2 months?" He questions. I sigh and nod. "I hope Slurpe's in a better place." Jug says and I nod. I peck his cheek. "Lets go to Pop's, I'm starving." He says and I giggle. "Lets go Burger Boy." I say. We walk downstairs, mom and dad are talking. "Hey." We say. "Hey, has anybody woken up other than you two?" Dad asks. We shake our heads. It's 9 am on a Saturday. We start to head to the door to put our shoes on, when they stop us. "Where are you two going?" Mom asks. "Umm..Pop's?" I question. Jug nods. "We already got Pop's it's on the table." Dad says. "Why can't we go?" Jug asks. "We want you to stay home this weekend." Mom says. We groan and go to the kitchen. We get our food and eat.
Everyone is in the treehouse, yes even though we are 14, we still go to the treehouse. It's our safe place and it holds so many memories. Now, it's the place to say goodbye to Sweets and Fangs.
"I'm going to miss you guys." I say and hug them, tears going down my face. They were like protective brothers to me. We pull out of the hug and smile at each other. They hug everyone else and say goodbye when mom and dad comes in with all our parents. "Okay, it's time for them to leave and for the ones who aren't staying in our house to go home. Everyone sighs and hugs Sweets and Fangs again. Then we make a big group hug. We chuckle with tears after we pull away from the hug. We all go our separate ways to our houses or for Fangs and Sweets to the airport.
The rest of the day Cheryl, Toni, Jason, Evelyn, Polly, Chic, Jelly, Jug, and I spent some time together since we never do anymore. We played cards and board games, watched TV, and laughed. It was a good day.
"Juggie?" I question. "Yeah Betts?" He asks. "I can't wait until we're 16." I sigh. "Why?" He asks. "Because we can choose our classes. They won't let us choose them next year." I say. He nods. I put something on the TV to watch and snuggle into Jug's side as we were laying on my bed. Mom and dad let us sleep in the same room again because we're dating. "Night." I yawn and peck his lips. "Night Juliet." He whispers to me as I fall asleep in his arms forgetting about the sadness of Fangs and Sweets.
