Alexandria's pov
"Can I just ask are the bodyguards really necessary?" Kathryn asks Jordan looks her way.
"Yes, they are because I want them here, by the way, who are you and are you needed here?" He questions harshly,
"1. She's my cousin, Kathryn, and 2. She works here if you couldn't tell idiot" I answer for Kathryn. She gives me a smile of gratitude
"Where are they Alex?" Jordan demands
"They're at school Jordan getting an education not that you'd know" I hit back
"Now get out of my shop" I order he smirks smugly
"Oh you mean California Coffee which I now own" He remarks
"What do you mean?" I question
"Well I went to see the CEO of this establishment and gave him an offer he could not refuse, and to my shock, you are slightly behind on payments" He reiterates
"We can pay it how much?" Kathryn asks he looks her way
"A couple thousand" Jordan answers bluntly
"Give us a couple of months we can do it" Kathryn states determined he shakes his head
"You have until next week" he instructs mine and Kathryn's eyes go wide.
"How the hell do you expect us to pay it by then?" We both question in disbelief.
"I don't know, rob a bank, I really don't care" he replies sarcastically
"You're a dick" Kathryn insults he just sends a faux smile in response
"I'll never be able to pay it in time" I cry
"I'll pay it" an all but familiar voice calls out from behind Jordan, the sea of bodyguards part and my brother, Jackson, walks through.
"Jackson" Kathryn and I say gobsmacked
"Alex, Kath good to see you both" he replies with a smile
"Why would you pay for her, it's her problem dude?" Jordan asks him, he gives him a look
"Well, 1. Because I want to and 2. She's my sister I'd do anything to help her" he responds Jordan's jaw clenches
"Now why don't you go do some sightseeing to try and keep that reputation clean" Jack adds Jordan gives us one last look before leaving with his entourage in tow, I sigh and slump into a chair, Jackson comes over and takes a seat beside me.
"Why'd you do that?" I ask
"As I said to him, you're my family and I'd do anything for my family members apart from Kathryn of course" Jackson jokes Kathryn hits him with a towel.
"Does mom know you're back?" I ask
"Not yet I'm making it a surprise for her, I also didn't forget about the little ones" he answers with a smile
"Could I get coffee please?" He asks Kathryn nods
"Of course right this way sire" Kathryn jokes, Jack rolls his eyes
"Screw you" He hits back Kathryn prepares the coffee and passes it to him.
"Do I get this for free since I'm family?" He inquires, Kathryn, narrows her eyes
"Let me think will I get half your fortune?" She questions
"Uh... No" Jackson says bluntly I laugh
"Then no that'll be $3.50," Kathryn tells him he reluctantly pays and heads for the doors.
