The next morning
Kathryn's pov
I wake up in the arms of Adam Woods (Yeah I know that sounds weird, but it was entirely innocent I swear) but I'm not gonna lie that was one of the best night sleeps I've had, Adam seriously gives off a lot of body heat, I turn around to face him and he looks incredibly peaceful and not like the incredible douchebag he usually is. He stirs and slowly wakes up and catches me staring at him and smirks.
"Hey, were you admiring my beauty?" He jokingly questions as he rubs the sleep from his eyes.
"No, I was just contemplating if my Mom and brother would testify for me in court if I suffocated you in your sleep" I jokingly answer, he laughs and throws his arms behind his head
"You wouldn't kill me, you like me too much" Adam states with a smirk
"I like you as much as I like getting my period which I hate" I hit back with a smirk
"Come on just admit it, you've warmed up to me" He says, I roll my eyes and go and pick out some clothes.
"You do know your silence speaks volumes, I knew it, you like me" He declares
"Think whatever you want I am conceding nothing" I reply he chuckles and jumps off the bed and start rummaging through my drawers.
"Let's see what dirty secrets you've got" He says
"You do know that's rude" I point out but he ignores me
"I might find your secret diary where you confess your feelings for me, or a dildo, or a vibrator or maybe even a vibrating dildo" He jokes with wides eyes, I give him a look.
"You're a complete child you know that" I say, he just sends me a mischievous smile
"Ooh, what's this?" He asks as he holds up a small gift box
"Don't touch that!" I exclaim as he nearly found out I got him a gift (Don't look too much into guys he got me one so I'm just being cordial).
"What is it?" He asks intrigued
"It's uh it's my vibrating dildo" I lie and internally groan (Jesus Kathryn that was the best lie you could come with not something with any sentiment you don't even own a dildo or vibrator never mind a vibrating dildo). Adam gives me a disappointed look.
"Geez, I thought you'd come up with a better lie than that, what is it" He pushes and I sigh.
"It's a gift for you" I say he lets a small smile fall onto his lips.
"Me?" He asks surprisedly
"Yeah, I felt bad you gave me one so I went out and bought you a little something to say thanks" I explain.
"You really didn't have to" He says
"Well I felt like I needed to" I reply, he apprehensively opens it and pulls out his own personalised necklace, he gives me an astonished look.
"Kathryn honestly, you really didn't have to" He says as he looks at it
"Well I did so live with it and now we're matching we're like a real couple" I joke, he gives me a wide grin and pulls me in for a hug, I yelp and slowly pat his back awkwardly.
"Oh well, I wasn't expecting that" I say he pulls away
"Thank you" He says with gratitude and puts his necklace on.
"You need any help?" I offer
"I should be good just make sure I clip it right" He replies then turns to me and looks me in the eyes intensely.
