Previous Chapter:

While I was walking in the hallways of the school to take a shower since I reek of sweat I hear music from the dance room. I go over there since I'm curious and saw the most beautiful thing in my whole life. It was Mina-Unnie dancing to ballet. I didn't know she danced... She looks so elegant and graceful. I can't take my eyes off of her. My heart is beating fast again. What's this feeling? This is the first time I've ever experienced this. And... I like it.

Chapter 2:

Then I heard the music stop. She stopped dancing and then before I knew it, I started clapping. Mina-Unnie looked up at me and was shocked to see me. Maybe because she probably thought she was alone. I entered the room and give her the thumbs up and smiled. "Ah, thanks Chaeyoung-shii." she smiled showing her gummy smile. I swear, anyone can fall for her if she keeps smiling like that. I pointed to the shower room and she nods. I enter into the shower room and start taking off my taekwondo suit and turned on the shower. I rinse my body off and you know... Do the rest of what you're supposed to do in a shower.

I step out of the shower and start drying my hair. After I was done, I took the exit and saw Mina-Unnie on her phone. I knock on the wall so she knows I'm done because I can't speak. She gets up and goes next.

After we both took a shower, Mina asks me something after we exit the dance room.

"Chaeyoung-shii, wanna walk home together?" I think about it for a while and just nod to her. She smiles and we start walking home.

While we were walking, Mina asks me a question. "How come you can't talk? People can't really go on in life without talking. And you said you don't want to talk because you'll hurt others. Why?" I stopped walking and looked down. 'Why did you ask me that?' I pull out a sticky note from my back pocket and a pencil and start writing something on it.

I hand it over to her and she started reading it. 'Come inside with me in my home. I'll try my best to explain. But promise not to tell anyone else.' After she was done reading it, she looked up at me and does a pinky promise to herself. I found it very cute. "I promise." she smiles. I took her hand and led her into my house.

It's a nice house. It's not that big and it's not that small. So, it's good enough for me to live in.

"So Chaeyoung-shii, why can't you talk." I sigh because she keeps asking. I gestured her towards the couch and she sat down. I plug in a video on my TV and it started.

If you are wondering what the video is, it's a video of me after my parents died. I never thought I would need to make a video of me telling what happened but, my auntie suggested it. So, the whole video is just me holding up papers of writing of what happened.

'Hi, I'm Son Chaeyoung. A 14 year old girl. My parents died a couple of weeks ago because of me. I said something I shouldn't have and now they're gone. I regret it. I would never speak again. Never. I don't want to hurt people because if I said something, it would ACTUALLY happen... If I said break a leg, your leg is broken. I know it sounds impossible but, I must've done something wrong in my past life to have god curse me of my sins. So please, whoever is watching this, believe me. Because I'm telling the truth, thank you. And please, take care of me, or go away. Because if you're someone who I care about, and I say something wrong, you're gonna be gone...'

The video ended. I can tell Mina is shocked after the video. Seconds later she looks at me and hugs me, I'm shocked but I give in. "From now on Chaeyoung-shii. I'll protect you, there's no way I would run away from you, I can never do that to someone like you." I smile and a tear escapes my eyes because no one has ever done this to me before. They usually all just run away from me. I hug her tighter and mouthed something, 'Thank you'. She smiles at me and we hug a little longer.

I pull back and told her to go home. But before she stepped out I hold her hand and give her my phone. "Huh? What do you want me to do with your phone?" I sigh and go straight to phone contacts. I give it back to her and she finally understood. "Oh~. Sorry." she giggles. OMG. THAT WAS SO CUTE. She plugged in her number in my phone. We exchanged our goodbyes and then she left.

8 minutes later I found out that outside it's raining heavily. I started worrying about Mina-Unnie because i'm not sure if she got home safe or not. So I decided to text her.

To Mina:

Hey Mina, it's Chaeyoung. Did you get home yet?

I have been waiting for 5 minutes and she still hasn't replied back to me yet. Maybe she's just not checking her phone because she's probably just buying food on the way back. Yeah, just think positively for now.

It's been 10 minutes and I'm fully worried now. I just want to see if she's okay. I grab my jacket and head outside to search for Mina.

I run and run around finding Mina. I can't find her! After 10 minutes of looking for Mina, I found her! She's in the alley way with.... A GUY!?!?!? Oh no, she's about to get raped... I clenched my fists. I got so angry I started running towards them and I hear her whimpering and crying. She keeps on yelling "HELP!" but the man doesn't even budge. I want to scream but I can't. I want to talk but I can't. I go over there and punch the daylights out of the guy and he fell on the ground holding his cheek. "YOU SON OF A-!" Before he could finish, I hit him where it hurts the most for men. He walks away limping and says "I'll find you." Later on, he disappears from my eyes.

I see Mina crying holding her knees and I comforted her. I stroke her hair to show her it's okay. I figured that Mina was soaking wet so I took off my jacket and placed it over her. Minutes later, she stopped crying and said "Thank you Chaeyoung-shii. What would have happened if you weren't here?..." We stood up and I followed her to her house. I can't believe this happened on the FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL! LIKE WHAT THE HECK!? We enter and I hand her a note that read 'Go take a shower so you won't get sick. I'll cook you some soup and hand you medicine.'

"What about you? You'll be sick too." she frowns. I bet she feels bad for letting me get soaking wet too. I hug her and gave her a warm smile to let her know it's fine. She goes up to her room and takes a shower. While she's doing that, I'm cooking soup for her and I.

Later on she comes down with dry clothes and I gesture her to come sit down and eat the soup. We silently eat our soup and I handed her the medicine and she ate it. I hand her another note and it said 'Now go rest. We have school tomorrow and it's 10:00. I'll sleep on the couch.'

"Wait, you're sleeping here?" I nod. She sighs. Does she not want me here? "Okay." she starts walking to her room. "Goodnight Chaeyoung." she smiles and goes back to walking. I smile from ear to ear because she didn't add the 'shii' at the end. Maybe she's considering me as her true friend now. I lay down and finally drift to sleep.
