Chapter 24:

Jihyo's P.O.V~

What?..... Did I read that right?

"You want me to help you ask Mina out?" I ask Chaeyoung to reassure myself. She nods excitedly. Finally, MY SHIP IS SAILING! YES!

"Of course I will!" I shout out a little bit too loud that made the others look at us.

"You will what?" Sana asked me. "Uhh...." Damn! I'm out of ideas... Oh!

"I agreed to help Chaeyoung on this math project." I said. I hope they believe that...

"But we don't have a math project..." Dahyun told us. Now I'm screwed...

"Jihyo's helping me on how to have a higher alcohol tolerance." We all looked at Chaeyoung and saw she was holding her phone, making her phone say her idea. Wow... Such a smarter move?

"But why? Why would you want a higher alcohol tolerance? You drink but you don't get drunk Chaeyoung." Nayeon said. "Yeah. I've never seen you drunk." We heard Mina say. Chaeyoung just shrugs and they all started talking about a different topic; but I can still see in their eyes their suspicion.

At least that was a better lie than my dumb homework one.

It's been a week and I'm super nervous for what I'm gonna do after school. Today is Friday and I need to ask Mina out on a date for tomorrow so I can ask her to be mine.

Jihyo has been helping me choose my words carefully so I don't say anything awful. Luckily, it's been great so far.

I was thinking about holding flowers that has a postcard that will ask Mina to go on a date with me. But Jihyo has been telling me that I should just say it to her so it'll be more romantic. What do you guys think?

*RING RING*

That was the school bell and I didn't notice it was time for Lunch until Mina tapped my shoulder. "Hey Chaeng, it's lunch time. Let's go." She said while giving me her famous gummy smile. I hate how she can have such an affect on me and make my heart beat faster than the speed of light.

We walked to the rooftop together and once we reached there, we saw Jeongyeon and Momo talking to Nayeon and Dahyun about something probably serious since their faces show no hint of humor. I'm such a detective . :)

After everyone arrived here at the rooftop, I started giving everyone their lunches.

"Chaeyoungie!" I look up to see that Sana was calling out to me. "Tzuyu hurt my feelings. I want you now." Sana pouts and comes over to me and clings onto my arm. What the hell is happening right now??? I blinked a few times to register what just happened right now.

"Um no. Chaeyoung is mine, not yours Sana." Mina said pulling me towards her. I looked up to her and saw her eyes fuming with jealousy. So cute but so dangerous.

"How is she yours if y'all not dating yet, huh?" Sana said sticking out her tongue. I look back at Mina and saw... Was that pain?

I cleared my throat to get their attention.

Okay... It's time I ask her out...

*FLASHBACK*

"Okay Chaeyoung, you're gonna say a lot of words to Mina. And we know how literal your words can get. And when you said love can solve this problem,curse whatever you wanna call it, think about Mina and how much you love her. Maybe after you say your words, let's hope nothing bad happens." Jihyo told me as we sat on my bed.
